Tried Deliveroo here in Hamburg. Ordered two pizzas. When they were delivered to us they were unrecognizable as food because the delivery guy had fallen with them. His suggestion was to check the pizzas out and call Deliveroo to get the money back if we weren’t satisfied, even tho it was painfully clear that the pizzas no longer were edible. So we called Deliveroo and they said they would send the food again. We said ok and waited. After about 20 min a rep from Deliveroo calls us again to inform us that the restaurant is now too busy and cannot make the food. He offers us our money back and wishes us a pleasant evening.
Now I would think that being a start-​up here in Hamburg, you would at least try to make it up to us in some way, after we paid, called and waited for food for 90 minutes that ultimately didn’t show up.
To summarize: What was supposed to be a nice Friday evening for us turned out to be nothing but a hungry hassle, courtesy of Deliveroo.

Ich kannte das Elia (Grieche) in Schwabing schon vorher und war gespannt, ob das Essen in ähnlich guter Qualität nach Hause geliefert wird. Laut Deliveroo sollte das Essen in 32 Minuten bei mir sein: Nach 27 Minuten klingelte es bereits an der Tür :) Geschmeckt hat es genauso gut wie im Restaurant. Und das ganze bei mir zu Hause auf dem Sofa — Ich bin begeistert und freue mich schon darauf die vielen weiteren Restaurants mit Deliveroo zu testen…
