I had very few choices for food staying so close to the Hamburg airport for a week. Taj Mahal was a 10 minute walk from my hotel and I ventured out one night to avoid having another meal at the hotel bar. They have a nice and unique interior. It was a quite evening since I didn’t make it there until 9:30 PM.
I ordered chicken Biriyani as my main meal and was I in for a surprise or what. The dish arrived steaming and was quite unique compared to any Biriyani I have had in the past. The rice was laced with apples, grapes, raisins along with nuts. I have never had so many fruits in my biriyani but it did make for one interesting and unique dinner that was on the sweeter side but the nuttiness and chicken flavor balanced it out well.
I ordered a dessert to finish that was extremely sweet and covered in something like a mango sauce. This was a little too sweet for my taste but I will definitely go back and would love to try other dishes from the menu.
