Hidden away from main roads, reasonably cheap menu with huge portion sizes as you would expect, you’re in Germany! Menu was in German, so I ordered the snitzel on a wim, and a friend ordered the pork knuckle. Snitzel was crumbed& moist, served with vegetables — peas, beans & carrots which reminded me of the tinned variety, however they had been cooked in butter which added favour. Plate was loaded with thin cut & fried potatoes. Pork knuckle was juicy, meat fell off the knuckle. No crackling –but again served with thin cut & fried potatoes. A bit greasy but exactly what we were after that evening :)! The food had a very home cooked feel. We chose this place purely for the Disney gimmick, and when my friend skimmed the menu to find it was tradionally German food. The interior of the restaurant is very cute, decked out with Mickey & Minnie Mouse, as well as Disney memorabilia which look to be very dated, possibly from the 80s? But I loved it. Great prices too, under 10AUD for the main dishes which held more food than I could finish.
