Seit langem mein Lieblingscafe in GAP, supergemütlich, vor allem im Winter der
perfekte Ort für ein après-​ski-​Weißbier!
Der Biergarten ist leider etwas zu klein geraten, deswegen eher eine Winterlocation,
Die Salate sind der Knaller, frisch, abwechslungsreich und einfach lecker!
Ansonsten ist das Essen okay, nicht wahnsinnig originell aber in Ordnung,
schließlich ist es ein Café und kein Restaurant.
Der Service ist manchmal ein bißchen überfordert, aber freundlich und bemüht.
Der einzige negative Punkt ist die leider etwas nachlassende Sauberkeit (Toiletten)
das war schonmal besser… Trotzdem: Immer wieder schön dort!

Grand. Excellent. Worth finding. Schnitzels are golden and delicate-​and more food than should be allowed. Known for large and wonderful salads.
Name is from an ersatz coffee-​like product made necessary by WW2. Go. My advice is’Go’.

The schnitzel and spätzle noodles were delicious– best schnitzel I’ve had! Cute little building with friendly service. Reasonable prices with huge portions!

Man kann groß Essen gehen oder nur eine kleine Mahlzeit zu sich nehmen. Die Salate sind wirklich sehr lecker, die Preise sind den Portionen angemessen. Wir gehen gerne hier essen und haben sogar unsere Hochzeit hier gefeiert.

Great name and great food. Get there before 7 PM for a table. You may have to share but it’s a good way to meet the locals. They take reservations. Huge portions. Great service. Two frau’s worked their butt off. Food was hot. About a mile down from the military hotel — towards town. Take the city bus behind the hotel for a quick cheap ride to and from the restaurant.

Friendly atmosphere and wonderful food. They speak fluent English and service is fabulous!

Absolutely hands down one if the best meals we have ever had! My husband and son both got steaks, it came with a salad and some cheese potatoes. OMG. SO GOOD. I just ordered the potato soup because Ive heard portions are HUGE. There was more than enough food! I literally could have drank the house dressing. We were the only English speaking family in the restaurant and we were greeted warmly. Our server spoke fluent English. It’s a MUST try.

Excellent place! The pumpkin soup (seasonal) was very unique. Had a distinct flavor. The schnitzel was also one of a kind. It had a different coating. I believe the batter used had horseradish. Tasted great. The salad was also great. I would definitely recommend this place. Service was excellent!

Had salad with bacon, tomato, little bit of corn for lunch. The bacon was so tasty, the best I ever have. Tomato soup was just ok.
Love the deco– keep you busy before the dish was served. Waitress was very pleasant.

Good breakfast, good portion size and good prices especially considering that it’s garmisch. Menus are in German and English. Cozy little outdoor area in back. Overall solid recommendation.

This is a great place; a GAP institution. I work at a hotel in town and we recommend this place to everyday to customers. They are always pleased. Cozy, old euro ambiance, fresh ingredients, friendly staff. Try one of the salads if you are looking for something tasty but light (hard to find good salad in DE).
*You may want to call ahead weekend nights or if you have a group over 5.

Best place in town!!! You have to try their salad. I have never had anything like it. Their soups are delicious and is their buffalo. My personal favorite is the Mac n cheese or kaesespaetzle. I like to get the kaesespaetzle an a salad when I go.

Bedienung
Die Bedienung war wahnsinnig freundlich.
Sie wies uns gleich zu Beginn darauf hin, dass zur Zeit unseres Besuchs (16:30 Uhr) die Auswahl der Gerichte auf Salate, Baguettes und Suppen beschränkt sei.
Insgesamt war der Service hervorragend. Die Bestellung wurde umgehend aufgenommen, das Essen kam rasch und die Bedienung war aufmerksam und sympathisch.
Das Essen
Ich hatte einen Salat, da ich im Vorfeld erfahren hatte, dass das Mukkefuck hierfür besonders bekannt sei. Meine Erwartungen wurden übertroffen. Es war eine üppige Portion, das Dressing war total lecker, die Austernpilze auf den Punkt und das Baguette, das dazu gereicht wurde frisch und knusprig. Alles in allem perfekt!
Der Apfelstrudel vom Nachbartisch sowie die verschiedenen Kuchen sahen ebenfalls fantastisch aus.
Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!
Das Ambiente
Das Ambiente war gemütlich, kreativ und ansprechend. Wir haben uns absolut wohl gefühlt.

Munchen schnitzel was AMAZING! The staff was super duper nice, the restaurant was cute and comfy, and all the food was awesome. We also ordered the turkey with gratin potatoes. Delish! We will be back!

Fantastic spot in Garmisch for a German home style meal. Very pleased to find a nice selection of salads, which went perfectly with my kase spatezle. A fine apple strudel to finish off the meal. Might be the best meal we had in Garmisch.

Very good — and large — salads. It was a nice break from the steady stream of wurst and potatoes we had been throwing down the gullet on a visit to Germany.

Doesn’t take cards, and the grill closes at 9 normally, but they close early both times I tried to go. They can go Mukkefuck themselves.

Potato Soup, the largest sandwich I ever saw and commenced to eat along with an excellent cappuccino… what more could I want? Oh yes, another visit.
The baguette mit schinken, tomate, und kase uberbacken (aka biggest ham sandwich ever) was fabulous. I believe that was a buttermilk dressing that was mixed in there but the challenge of trying to eat this with one’s hands is not something I would have attempted so happily with fork and knife and devoured this lovely concoction of goodness. This may be a regular stop for me when I am in town.

Hier kann man Sehr gutes und gemütlich Essen. Mir hat es der Mukkefucksalat angetan.

Read the 5 star reviews and since the restuarant is a short walk down the strasse, had to give it a shot. Well, here in all my poor writing style is what I experienced:
Arrived after lunch and the restaurant was rather quiet — good for me. Started off with an apéritif martini (w.russo), which was quite good. Nice start. Next, appetizer of potato soup — surprised by the large portion and was really taken aback by the flavor and freshness.
Next asked the waitress for her recommendation, which was «noodles with ham or cheese». Ordered the noodles with ham which came with a «small» salad. So, the salad comes out and it is big enough to share or I should have skipped the soup. Within minutes, the «ham noodles» arrive and the portion is rather large. The ham pasta was really good and not willing to be admit that I had too much to eat, I devoured all the pasta and half the salad. Had a Helles beer with my main course but would have preferred another martini!
Two hours later, even after an extended walk back to my hotel, I am stuffed. I highly recommend this restaurant but realize that the portion sizes can be large.
PS — there is seating in the back of the restaurant on the right hand side of the bar. The front half of the restaurant is small and cozy but additional seating for larger size groups is available.

Super Essen zu Preisen, die in Anbetracht der Portionen absolut angemessen sind. Flinke und freundliche Bedienungen. Hervorragend ist neben den bereits genannten Salaten der Kräuterbutter!
Das Bistro ist zudem äußerst zentral gelegen (quasi am Marienplatz) und pfiffig dekoriert. Top!

This ancient, charming place nestled near the pedestrian walk in Garmisch-​Partenkirchen has, hands down, the best salad I have ever had.
The Austerpilzen and Speck salat, the only salad not translated into English on the menu, is a mixture of field greens, bacon, and oyster mushrooms combined with the local yoghurt dessing for which Garmisch is known, and which Mukkefuck does better than anyone.
The staff is friendly and the venue is charming in the old-​timey, we’ve been here for 800 years type of way you expect in a place like Garmisch. Not to be missed on a visit to this village. Just wonderful.

Alles so wie es sein soll ! Perfekte Umsetzung der Idee! Kann mich den Vorschreibern nur voll umfänglich anschließen. WHF: 200!

Absoluter Geheimtipp, leckeres Essen, tolles Lokal, was nicht aus der Tüte stammt. Alles frisch gekocht, dazu fast immer ein toller Salatteller mit leckerem Dressing. Nette und flinke Bedienungen. Ein Highlight in der Tourihochburg Garmisch. Preise wirklich ok. Käsenudel mit Speck und Käse mit Salat für 9,80 Euro. Weizen 3,40 Euro (ist für Garmisch ok). Ausprobieren, lohnt sich.
War schon zweimal da und komme auch noch ein drittes Mal!

What a name… great good… the Munchen Schnitzel is amazing.
You might think a heart attack is coming when you hear bacon/​ham wrapped schnitzel, but quite the contrary, the cut of meat is wrapped in very fine, but full of flavor ham and bacon. The light batter makes this meal extremely yummy, add the potato salad and you have a huge and very satisfying meal. Top it off with a weiss bier and you got yourself the perfect lunch or dinner.
The salads are huge and the baguettes are large. The seating inside can get a little crowded, but perfect for an evening coffee (yes, I went twice). Seating outside is perfect in a fine day.
The apfel strudel is good, but very hot so get extra ice cream.

Zum Abendessen in dem Biergarten hinter dem Haus gewesen. Das Ambiente
dort ist eher rustikal. Es gibt eine gut überschaubare nicht zu voll gespickte Speisekarte auf Salat aufgebaut… Auch eine Saison Karte war vorhanden. Das Restaurant hat innen auch 2 weitere schöné sehr gemütliche Räume. Der Salat ist es der dieses Restaurant bekannt gemacht hat.

Eines meiner Lieblingskaffees
Die Salate sind wirklich sehr gut, die Dressing sind gut abgestimmt, und die Portionen dem preis gerecht.
Die Kuchen sollte man auf alle Fälle kosten, und der kleine Biergarten hintenraus, ist einfach süß.
Das Caffee selbst liegt etwas zurückgesetzt an einer Hauptstrasse, aber sobald man das Kaffee betritt ist das vergessen.
Ideal um einmal mit einer Freundin in Ruhe abzuschalten und einen guten Kaffee zu genießen.

Sehr nettes und gemütliches Bistro. Die Karte bietet eine sehr gute Auswahl, mehr wie ein Restaurant. Die Salate waren groß und das Dressing super lecker. Ansonsten kann ich die hausgemachten Gnocchi und Steaks empfehlen. Die Bedienung war auch total freundlich.

This is — hands down — the best casual place for breakfast, lunch and an early dinner in Garmisch. We’ve been there several times and not one person has been disappointed with anything… the food, the service, the prices…
Mukkefuck is known for their salads (which are bigger than my head) and their house salad dressing. It’s sort of a caesar but better. Man, I’m tempted to break in at night and steal the recipe… Except, it’s probably not written down and if it is, it’s in German and well, I don’t speak or read German and then I’d be risking imprisonment for no good reason. I digress.
The baguette sandwiches (specifically the roast beef or the turkey) are my FAVORITE. They are huge and tasty and just oh so good. They have a full coffee bar as well as beer and liquor. I’ve tried the pumpkin, cucumber and the potato soup… Now, I never know which one I want when I go because they’re all delicious.
They have a great little beer garden outside when the weather is beautiful.
I normally only write reviews on places that I absolutely LOVE or I absolutely HATE on Unilocal… Not only do I love this place but I would give it an extra star if I could so it would stand out on top…
And they sell t-​shirts. I mean, can you get a better souvenir than a shirt from Café Mukkefuck?

Das Bistro Mukkefuck liegt im Garmischer Zentrum in der Zugspitzstraße. Das Haus steht etwas zurückgebaut, daher kann es leicht übersehen werden. Das Bistro befindet sich in den alten Wohnräumen des historischen Gebäudes. Es gibt drei Räume in denen man gemütlich sitzen kann, eben wie damals in Großmutters Wohnstube. Ein Raum bestitz noch einen sehr alten Kachelofen. Die Dekoration ist bunt gemischt. Das Publikum durchstreift alle Altersklassen. Das Mukkefuck bietet eine reichhaltige Frühstückskarte, vom Standardfrühstück bis hin zu Rühreiern mit Krabben. Die Speisekarte bietet ebenfalls eine große Auswahl. Verschiedene Pfannkuchen, diverse Röstivariationen, Nudeln, Schnitzeln, Salate und Baguettes. Zudem gibt es immer noch eine Wochenkarte. Das Personal ist durchweg sehr freundlich, auch wenn das Haus voll ist. Die Wartezeiten sind angenehm. Aus dem reichhaltigen Angebot der Speisekarte entschieden wir uns für ein Münchner Schnitzel (mit Meerettichpanade) und Nudeln mit Filetspitzen.

Fazit: ein gelungenes Konzept !

Die Salate sind durch das spezielle Dressing meine absolute Empfehlung! Das Restaurant Mukkefuck ist supergschmách, die Bedienung war sehr nett (meine hieß laut Kassenbon Prinzessin Frederike) und das Essen war trés bien. So muss es sein.

Sehr gesundes Vollwert-​Essen. Abwechslungsreiche, immer wieder wechselnde Speisekarte. Gutes Preis-​Leistuns-​Verhältnis. Historische Einrichtung und doch moderne Atmosphäre. Nette Bedienung. Gemütliche Atmosphäre
