Best Worscht In Town

Best Worscht in Town hat sich in und um Frankfurt inzwischen zu einem echten Markenlabel entwickelt. Da lag es nahe auch einen Ableger im Skyline Plaza Frankfurt aufzubauen.
Und was soll man sagen? Es hat definitiv funktioniert. Die Currwurst ist lecker, die Pommes sind lecker, die Soßen sind lecker, das Brot sowieso. Dazu noch ein schneller und unkomplizierter Bestellvorgang, fertig ist eine «Runde Sache».
Somit ist für mich auch hier das Best Worscht in Town eine sichere Bank für akute Currywurstnotfälle. Nicht mehr, aber auch nicht weniger.

I was pretty amped for some currywurst, one of the joys of traveling to Germany and to some place that actually understand currywurst is the wurst. This place is like in a food court area of a mall, but this mall had a Chipotle in it so I won’t judge from first glance.
The bottom line is, this place more and different sauces for the currywurst, for me I am a purist, there is only one sauce for the currywurst. I ordered the mini combo, and the sauces choices threw me off a bit, I guess if you ate currywurst all the time than you want a different sauces. The fries were average, but the problem was the wurst was super dry, not excusable just because you have tons of sauce.
I would pass on this one next time round, suggest you do the same.

I’ve had plans to try one of the BWIT locations for almost a couple of years now, but for some reason it never happened.
Fast forward to today!
After spending some time on the rooftop of the mall, kiddo and I felt we needed a snack before heading home, so I decided today was the day to find out what the hype is about. ;)
We ordered the X-​TREME COMBO.
Having the choice, we decided on the «Bratwurst».
Then the guy at the counter asked me what kind of sauce I wanted and I told him that I wanted the «B+» — but on the side in case it’d be too spicy for Ace. The guy warned me that it’d be several times as spicy as tabasco and looked at me so doubtful that I couldn’t help but backpedal. So I went with the «EU-​Chili Sauce (which is just a B).
For the curry powder I went with the «Jambalaya» (which is a 6).
The combo also included fries (which we got with mayo, ketchup and onions) plus a slice of their bread.
Looking back, I wish I had stood my ground and ordered the B+.
Don’t get me wrong — the «EU-​Chili» tasted great and actually went great with the fries (which I kept dipping into it) — but it was not very spicy. Even my 6-​year old ate it without blinking, so…
Next time, I’ll definitely start with a B+ and go from there.
Anyways…
The sausage deserved only three stars. It was OK, but did not blew me away. Probably because it tasted a bit dry — I think it had spent too much time on the grill being kept warm.
The fries were great though. Crispy and hot — just the way I like them.
I actually tried the bread a few hours later. When we were done that slice of bread was left over, so I wrapped it in a napkin to take it home. I was a bit sceptical since I felt that I smelled a whiff of caraway (which I don’t like), but when I put some margarine and gouda cheese on it at home to eat it as an evening snack, it tasted great!
Overall, I was pleased with my first visit at the «Worscht» and I will certainly return to try hotter sauces and other curries.

Endlich ein BWiT in Laufnähe. Es ist alles wie beim Original im Grüneburgweg… die Wurst, die Pommes, das Brot von Bäckerei Huck… und bei den Getränken kann man «free refill» haben.
Und das beste ist, dass sich die Schlange dank guter Organisation in Grenzen hält.
Ich habe glatt eine Träné beim Essen verdrückt… ob der Schärfe oder der Freude wegen,… ich weiss es nicht so ganz genau!
