Macaron

Great macarons and French patisseries here, which are not so easy to find in Franconian. However, I find this place quite overpriced.

Phänomenale Auswahl an kleinen, süßen Köstlichkeiten! Der schnuckelige Laden, indem auch abgesehen von Maccarons in großer Vielfalt, im Mund explodierende Gaumenfreuden im Törtchenformat angeboten werden, lädt auch zum Verweilen ein!
Cappuccino, heiße Schokolade und die hausgemachten Sünden, kann man nämlich auch, bei einem netten pläuschen, vor Ort genießen!
Der Service ist hervorragend!
Ich sag nur– absoluter Gaumensex!!!

Klein, Bunt und mit Biss!
Laut dem Internet ist ein Macaron «ein französisches Baisergebäck aus Mandelmehl». Klingt ja irgendwie unspektakulär, oder? Wie sehr der Name täuscht… Beim Vorbeilaufen entdeckte ich durch das Schaufenster eine Theke voller Macarons. Mein Feinschmecker Radar pingte lauter als eine Sturm-​Sirene und es zog mich magisch in diesen kleinen aber feinen Laden. Hinter der Theke stand eine völlig verdutzte Dame, die mich etwas verwirrt ansah, als ich halb-​sabbernd in den Laden fiel und nur noch ein «Ich will Macarons» rauskriegte…
Die Auswahl ist enorm. Nein wirklich, enorm ist fast zu gering. Falls ich mich nicht verzählt habe, gab es zwanzig verschiedene Geschmacksrichtungen! Ich entschied mich spontan für Maracuja, Ananas-​Zitrone und Passionsfrucht mit Safran. Beim ersten Bissen schlug es wie eine Bombe auf meine Geschmacksnerven ein, ich war ehrlich gesagt nahezu geschockt wie etwas so intensiv schmecken kann!
Der Rest wanderte nach und es enttäuschte mich kein Bissen :)
Völlig zufrieden und glücklich schlenderte ich von dannen, mein einziger Kritikpunkt ist, dass ich mir nicht noch mehr Macarons mitgenommen habe.

Two words: Food Orgasm!!!
I visit this shop every few months (you know, as a special treat), and every single time it blows my mind!
It’s a bit off the high street, but it’s worth the detour. The owner is really nice and it’s altogether just this really cute shop. They sell more than just the sweet little delights that lend their name to the shop — you can find various gifts and lots of other sweet treats, but the macarons are the best part.
They are a bit expensive, if you compare them to other sweets, but they are definitely worth it. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, various fillings melting in your mouth, setting off a firework of taste… SO GOOD!
There are so many different flavours, you simply have to try them all. I am still trying to eat my way through them. My new favourite? Pineapple-​Lemon! So much tastiness… I am almost drooling just thinking about them!
You either hate them or love them — I sure know what it is for me.

So I was given a mission by my mother upon going to Germany this last visit… bring back a Christmas ornament. If I didn’t return with such a requested item, well, you can guess I’d be in some kind of trouble. So I took to the streets in Erlangen to scope out the little shops, and came upon Macaron.
Now of course from first glance and from looking at their website, they are first and foremost a pastry/​confectionary delight speciality shop… and what wonderful items they had! The case was full of yummy amazing things to enjoy. Visit their website for some glimpses of these tasty treats. However, they also have a limited amount of small gifts and craft items available as well. The display in their window caught my eye as they had, you guessed it, wonderful Christmas ornaments on display. I found one that fit the bill perfectly. Beautiful stand out design and durable also for the trip home, it was just what the doctor ordered. The staff was very happy to make sure to wrap it extra carefully as I told them I would be flying home with it, and they were very positive and helpful. Bottom line: Offering a wonderful array of sweets and baked goodies as well as some small unique gift items, I found Macaron a charming and wonderful little shop to visit in Erlangen. If you have a sweet tooth or want to find a small gift idea, visit and try them out.
