The concept is easy enough — turn left if you want to enter the restaurant, turn right to enter the bar.
Thankfully, though, you can also eat in the right part, and drink in the left! So why divide it in the first place then?
The answer can be found in the atmosphere: although this is one big location, and only recently reopened, the separation has always been in place. On the right hand side you have a loft-​style room, with a bar that is set like an island into the middle of the room. You can sit at the bar itself, or at the few tables that are scattered around it. You have barkeepers serving you your favourite drinks, and yes, you can also order your food from the restaurant side. But this is essentially a bar.
On the other side, you have a proper sit-​down restaurant. They serve burgers, currywurst (German curry sausage… kinda) and a few other things, and pretty decent sweet potato chips (fries). Of course you can also order drinks here, but the idea is that you have the atmosphere of a proper restaurant, with a waiter serving you at your table, etc.
So my recommendation for this place is the following: start on the left, make sure you get some decent food in first (as a foundation for what is to come), then change to the right, and get that booze flowing.
Bottom line:

*…divided over two rooms
* Perfect for a long night out…

*…drinks afterwards.

Das alte Papa Joes wird zum Glüxrausch im «neuen» Gewand, doch was hat sich geändert? Die Wände sind nun gelb gestrichen und das Ganze hat einen VIntage-​Flair bekommen, plus die Speisekarte wurde um Burger erweitert. Reicht das aus für eine Neueröffnung?
Die Burgerkarte ist überschaubar, dafür gibt es ausgefallene Extras wie z.B. die Süßkartoffelpommes! Ich entschied mich kurzerhand für einen Cheeseburger mit ebendiesen Süßkartoffelpommes und war schon ziemlich gespannt was mich erwartet. Was einem sofort auffällt ist, dass man hier nicht auf klassische Burgerbuns setzt, sondern ein eher Ciabatta-​artiges Brötchen bekommt. Zartschmelzender Käse umhüllt den Patty, zusammen mit einem Hauch von Soße bildet es ein leicht rauchiges Aroma. Das obligatorische Grünzeugs rundet das Ganze ab und schreit nach mehr! Mein größter Fehler war es allerdings die Süßkartoffelpommes zu bestellen, die waren sowas von lecker, das der Burger kaum mithalten konnte. kein Scherz, absolute Empfehlung meinerseits!
Gibt es was zum meckern? Ja, die Toiletten riechen so penetrant nach Desinfektionsmittel das es einem fast beim Händewaschen die Füße wegzieht! Das muss echt nicht sein Leute.
Fazit: Ein cooler neuer Look mit leckeren Gerichten, aber irgendwie kein richtig neuer Laden.
