Sphere Bay

Blah. My drink was not very good. I ordered the black milk tea with tapioca, the basic order. I modified it by asking for less sugar, which if you’ve ordered in Asia or down the street at BoboQ, is a normal request. However, the drink I received was so bland; it really tasted like milk with watery tea. It was not up to par.
What I do like: the upstairs seating is generous and the décor is intentional – trying to create a warm, inviting atmosphere. There is a restroom (always a plus when you’re drinking a large amount of liquid). And generally, I’m excited to see interest and competition for bubble tea drinks in Europe.
I’ll also praise their service. It wasn’t until after I sat down that I realized the official business hours had already ended. Nevertheless, the nice staff member still took my order, asked if it was to-​go or for-​here, and she delivered my drink to me at my table.
I would have rated Sphere Bay with two-​stars for the drink quality, but I think they do a good job creating a welcoming environment and I really want to see it succeed.
Tip to the staff: double the strength of your tea when you brew it, then when you add the milk, it won’t taste as watery. And keep taste testing the sweetness level, mine was pretty bad.

This place is so sweet! I’m from the States so I obviously don’t get here often but I usually go 1 – 3 times a year when I’m visiting my partner. I love the drawing materials and the customer drawings and the drinks are always yummy. Careful – they are sweet! if you’re an english speaker like me, don’t worry too much; it’s not that hard to figure out.

Ooooh ich liebe ja Bubbletea und dort ist es wirklich extrem lecker, manchmal sogar leckerer als boboQ.
Die Mitarbeiter sind echt super nett und zuvorkommend.
Über die Preise kann man auch nicht meckern, es sind halt so Standardpreisen für Bubbleteas.
Jedes mal ein Besuch wert ^^

Ich finde die Mitarbeiter sehr nett und die Getränke sehr gut. Ich finde Möglichkeit, selber den Mix zu bestimmen, echt cool. Kommen gerne wieder.

wow ein endlich mal guter Bubble Tee Laden. Hier gibt’s nicht nur Bubble Tea der mit echter laktosefreier Milch zubereitet wird (oder ohne Milch) sondern auch Matcha latte aus frischem Matchapulver und richtigen nicht süssem Chai Latte aus richtigen Gewürzen aufgegossen. Ich kann diesen Laden nur empfehlen wirklich ein super Geheimtip.

mitarbeiten ist freundlich, aber sie spricht undeutlich und bringt mir durcheinander.
ich habe 2 stücke bestellt. sie hat falsch gemacht.
ich wollte mit nehmen nach hause. aber die deckel war nicht richtig schutz und fällt die flüssigkeit.
2 mitarbeiter ist wenig und muss geduld werden.
ich finde boboq besser.

Gab es vor 2010 nur zwei Bubble Tea Läden in Düsseldorf, findet man heute an jeder Ecke einen. Sphere Bay ist zwischen Stadtmitte und Hauptbahnhof an der japanischen Straße von Düsseldorf gelegen. Um sich von den vielen anderen Bubble Tea Länden zu unterscheiden gibt man sich modern (Design der Einrichtung, Name der Getränke) und kann die Zutaten frei wählen (Tee, Sirup, Milch /​Jogurt, 6 Sorten von Bubble.) Positiv ist die schnelle Zubereitung, leider schmeckt der Bubble Tea im Vergleich zu den anderen Läden nur durchschnittlich.
Wer selbst mixen will ist hier richtig, ansonsten mal boboQ und my qtea probieren.
