Eiscafe Zollhof

Schon im Jahr 2011 bin ich mal im Eiscafé Zollhof gewesen und hatte aufgrund des Sonnenwetters den Laden als «perfekte Abkühlung» in Erinnerung behalten.
Bei unserem zweiten Besuch musste ich leider feststellen, dass das Eis nur «leicht überdurchschnittlich» schmeckt. Allerdings kann man über die Preise bei diesem guten Ausblick auf den Zollhof und die «teure Umgebung» nicht meckern.
Einen Cappucino gibt es für 2,40 €, der Milchshake kostete 3,20 € und eine Cola 0,2l bekommt man für 2 €. Den Raffaello Becher schafft man fast nicht alle (5,90 €), das Spaghettieis Waldfrüchte war lecker (5,50 €) und das Joghurteis mit Himbeeren hat meine Begleitung überzeugt (4,90 €).
Die Bedienung war sehr fixiert auf meine weibliche Begleitungen, aber durchgehend freundlich und aufmerksam.

The gelato-​style ice cream they serve here is okay, though i did see some really creative ice cream «dishes» on their «menu» (such as their thin-​stripped ice cream «noodles» aptly nicknamed spaghetti). The wait staff is not the friendliest though, and they can be pretty particularly rude if you can’t make up your mind about what flavor you want to have — this was my experience. They also gave me a broken ice cream cone… not sure if it was coincidence or «payback» for taking too much of their time. :-(
By the way, don’t sit down at the tables of the nearby Trattoria Zollhof. Despite the similar-​looking (and –designed) sun shades out front, they are not the same restaurant… and Trattoria Zollhof WILL make you move.
