Modern, clean, reasonably priced and 100 metres from the main train station (Hauptbahnhof) so you can arrive late and walk straight to the hotel. handy for catching the tram to the airport too — I think it’s the no. 6 tram and takes about 15 mins — buy a ticket in the little booth by the tram stop.

Hotel is right in centre next to main train station, no bar but could get drink at reception. Very handy for walking into town for shopping sightseeing etc. Family rooms were massive with 2 double beds and a single, not a 5* but for what we paid and location wise, no complaints.

«Könnte ich noch einen Latte M. bekommen?» Nein, nur noch Kaffee. Ein scharfer Blick… und dann die Antwort: «Ich frag mal nach.»
Puh, sie kam mit einem 2. L.M. wieder zurück.
Fazit: Umgerechnet 30 DM (ich mussste es mal wieder tun). Für ein Brötchen, Marmelade, Honig und zum Glück zwei L.M.
Was für ein Schnäppchen!
Und wenn man dann einen Hotedirektor fragt, warum Frühstück seperat? «Weil keiner mehr kommt.» Ist doch klar, wenn ich für 3 Euro einen besseren L.M. bei Starbucks bekomme… plus Sandwich bin ich besser und billiger dran!
Dafür haben die jetzt meine Emailadresse und ich schon bei Ankunft in Köln einen Feedbackbogen. Man, man, man!
Hotels sind nicht mehr was sie mal waren und das Preis/​Leistungsverhältnis stimmt fast niergendwo mehr.
