Hotel Schempp

I loved it here, but there were a few functional issues.
For one, because of the lack of A/​C, rooms and public areas can get pretty warm when a crowd gathers — even with windows cracked open. Speaking of which, the windows are neat-​o; they can be cracked open toward the top or fully opened via the side-​hinge. I loved them.
We stayed in the Classic Room, located on the second level at the front of the building. It was one of the larger suites in the hotel, consisting of three rooms, a bedroom, a bathroom, and a living room. The couch in the living room folded out into another bed. The rooms also came with ample closet space, two writing desks, numerous chairs, and a television. Everything was new, sleek, and modern. But the best features were the windows — there were roughly five in all and the spanned the entire outer wall. When all were opened, the breeze was glorious.
Due to the heat, we kept the windows cracked open through the night, and though there was a little traffic noise throughout the night, it didn’t keep us from getting a good night’s rest. There weren’t any bugs that flew in either. Yay!
If you’re looking at amenities, this place has a fair amount. Downstairs, you’ll find a fitness center and sauna. There’s a wet sauna and a dry sauna; connected to the room is also a relaxation room. It’s perfect for an after-​workout detox session. However, there seems to be a leaking issue because we found puddles of water everywhere downstairs. Note: the sauna downstairs closes early — around 9pm, I think.
The bathroom was nice; everything was very white. Lol. I have no complaints aside from the fluctuating water temperature in the shower — it’ll be the perfect temperature one moment, and then turn either into a burning inferno or an artic bath in the span of a minute.
I didn’t get much of a chance to explore the surrounding area, but there seems to be a lot of local businesses ans offices nearby.

Nettes Hotel. Ideal für Geschäftsreisende. Sauber freundlich. Etwas Farbe würde den Zimmern sicherlich nicht schaden.

Da Schempp ist ein ordentliches Hotel mit freundlichem Petsonal die Zimmer sind ok, könnten an der ein oder an deren Stelle mal wieder etwas Farbe vertragen. Schwarze Streifen an der Tapete sind halt unschön…
Auch sollte man nicht übersehen, wenn der vorherige Gast vergessen hat die Toilettenspülung zu benutzen. Da hat definitiv jemand das WC nicht sauber gemacht.
Mein Doppelzimmer war recht klein und ist mit 75 EUR /​Nacht auch nicht unbedingt ein Schnäppchen.
Parken kann man vor dem Haus. Ein Norma und eine Pizzeria sind in der Nähe. Das Restaurant im Haus (Mai Mai) bietet vietnamesische Küche. Die Qualität fand ich sehr gut. Die Portion war allerdings mit dem gereichten Reisschüsselchen etwas klein. Gut fand ich, dass man auf Nachfrage problemlos ein Zweites brachte. Die Preise sind allerdings etwas höher angesiedelt. Das leicht scharfe Rindfleisch mit Zwiebeln und Paprika kam 13 EUR.

Über die Übernachtungsmöglichkeit kann ich nichts sagen, weil wir nur ein Seminar abgehalten haben. Aber da war die Abwicklung und Betreuung vor und während des Seminars super freundlich und sehr professionell. Die Anfrage und Buchung hat problemlos geklappt. Die Räume sind umfangreich ausgestattet und die Lobby bietet gute Möglichkeiten, auch mal in kleinen Gruppen zu arbeiten. Das Essen im Restaurant war auch lecker.
Im Gegensatz zu den vielen Gasthöfen, die es sonst im Umfeld gibt, ist das ein richtiges Hotel — weltoffen, freundlich, kompetent. Also für die Seminar-​Organisation kann ich das Hotel wirklich guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen!
