They give you a lot of food. I’ll give them that. But then, it was more expensive than the other casual restaurants I’ve been to here in Berlin.(8 euro 50, and I brought my own water.) And the staff is friendly.(For example, they let me bring in my own water. :)) But the taste! I got a «grill plate» with lamb. The only flavor was salt, and quite a lot of it. It came with rice, also salty, and a «salat» of tomatoes, onions, cucumber and parsley which had no seasoning or dressing. There were three sauces available to add on the side. So I tried using those to improve the taste of the meat and the salad. :P…I basically forced myself to eat enough to sustain me and left the rest on the table. :(I hate wasting food! Don’t let the fact that this place is busy fool you. If you have discerning tastebuds, go elsewhere.

So delicious. Got half a chicken plus a huge serving of rice plus dipping sauce plus bread for less than 5 Euro. This is a nice place for a casual, quick lunch and you are really hungry. The other stuff looked tasty as well.

There are better, MUCH better Döner places in Berlin. When I went the staff were incredibly rude. I ordered — in German — a Döner im Brot, got my eyes rolled at me and rushed to say whether I wanted beef or chicken, but never asked what kinds of sauces I wanted. I got handed a wrap instead, and charged more. I said I ordered a Döner im Brot and the staff tried to argue with me. Eventually, I got my proper order and my money back(the difference in price), but it wasn’t even that good of a Döner. Find elsewhere to go!

Oh doner kebab, how I love thee. And in Berlin, where Doner is plentiful, you can’t go wrong with the Rosenthaler Grill und Schlemmerbuffet. In the poppin’ area of Prenzauerberg, and surrounding by bars and other restaurants, it is not just a great area to eat, but just a great area to relax and have fun in general. And you will enjoy what you eat. Doner kebab, with fresh lettuce, cabbage, yogurt sauce, and meat that turns over fast enough that you are almost assured some fresh and hot doner. It is not the best doner i’ve had, as I prefer the yogurt sauce at some other places, but it is damn good and huge for the price. Such Value. 3.4 euro for a Doner im Brot, but I recommend that you pay the extra 50 cents for a large one, which comes with extra meat. Rarely have i ever been so satisfied with such a meal for so cheap. And the fact that it’s open 24⁄7? Well… I will see you again in 2 hours and 5 beers.

My husband and I stopped here for lunch and I ordered the Döner Special(9.90 €). The food was made quickly and tasted excellent. The garlic sauce was especially amazing and the quantity of food was plentiful. A decent place to dine for sure.

My partner comes to Berlin every year and always tells me about this place for their amazing kebabs. This year I have come with him for the first time and can see what all the fuss is about. We had an amazing meal here and will probably go back before we leave. I recommend the Brot! We have tried a couple of other places with similar cuisine and they are all generally good(Berlin does Turkish food so well) you actually feel like you had a healthy meal after eating a kebab here unlike back in the UK where you feel a bit dirty! This place is by far the best of a good bunch.

A great place! Free wifi for 30 minutes and the food is awesome! Best pasta I ate in Berlin! Cheap and delicious! Highly recommended!

Okay I went here because I was visiting Berlin and I saw through Unilocal that this place is popular. When I first walked in the guy did not give me any time to look at the menu. He just wanted me to order. Personally I hate when people rush me when I am looking at food. Second of all If you don’t know German you are in for a long run. I specifically told the guy I wanted chicken and he gave me kabab instead. I am not that mad because it sure was really good. But the guy was a jerk. He also charged me extra for something and I did not bother to argue because an extra 50pens does not kill me. Overall, I won’t go again just because how I was treated. But if you know German I suggest going to try it out.

Fantastic döner, insanely quick service and overall pretty cheap. It’s not located far away from the must-see museums/alexanderplatz/brandenburger tor, and definitely worth the 10 minute walk. Also close to Mein Haus am See, the 24 hours open hipster club. The guys behind the counter seem pretty stressed out, so you would be wise to have your order ready.

The fact that it’s open 24 hours is probably is greatest asset. Of course, they don’t leave the doner spit running all night, so you get leftovers at 6am in the morning. But like I always say: some doner is better than no doner!

Nothing to write home about. Tried an egg and spinach lahmacun and weren’t impressed. Ok bottled beer selection but no draught. Nice to sit outside on the corner of Rosenthalerplatz but there are many nicer venues. This place is a little run down.

It’s one of those places where you eat only because you’re really hungry and have no other option. Last night was exactly one of these — after drinking at a bar [and not eating anything but lunch] I got the munchies at 3am… so what will I do? marched in here, took a lahmacun with some meet and cabbage, and went away to catch my tram home. As I was eating — I felt like things don’t really add up [tastewise] but didn’t care, and as started to get full it just occured to me that this thing just doesn’t taste good. so I threw away half of it, shouldv’e taken those fries. The staff were nice and also speak some English [even though I don’t really need it anymore: D] — but this place smells of tourism. and not in a good way. Sometimes it’s just better off staying hungry.

Luckily, we lived close enough to come here whenever we wanted to. The döner are so good, I never got around to trying any of the other dinner dishes, though they looked great. And I’m not a big fan of the döner, in most cases. Not fancy at all, just real good and open real late. Like, all the time, so you can go in the middle of the night. Friendly and fast counter service. I wish I could go there right now!

The«döner»(gyro) is reallllly good! Instead of a pita, they use homemade bread pockets. You get your choice of chicken or beef.(We went with the beef. 3 different types of white sauce to choose from. We loaded ours up with everything.(Onions, lettuce, red cabbage, tomatoes and white sauce). Super delicious! The bread seals the deal. The only thing that kept me from giving them 5 stars is that one of the employees was kind of a snot.

Just Ridiculous how good this place is. Busy 24⁄7. Complicated flavor profiles, layers of goodness that change and dance between bites as you work your way from the more salady top to the more meaty/saucy middle. The last few bites are so tasty you will want to continue EVENIF you are so full you wish you could stop. This is the kind of place that could turn you into a glutton. It’s the kind of food you keep eating even after you are 100percent sure you don’t need any more. If I lived here, I would definitely need a full scale intervention to keep me away. If one of the owners happens to read this(or a translation of it), PLEASE apply for a USA visa and come to West LA and open a shop. I will sponsor you. Yes, it is that freakin good. No I am not drunk. It’s just that freakin’… … ok, you get the idea.

OHMAN the Memories!!! Came here back in 2007 on Berlin Trip with the boys. Many o nights ended or began here with a delicious Doner Kebab. The best I had in Berlin, both when there were hardly any restaurants in the area and even now when I go back 6 years later with nothing but restaurants lining that street. The ingredients are fresh and flavors are good, open late with plenty on the menu. I usually ask for my doner kebab made on a Lamajun which costs a little extra but adds other flavors to the mix.

This spot rocks. We were staying at the St. Olberholtz apartments for a week and this place is always open. At first I was thinking it’d suck since it’s got a good location and the service is gruff. Also you have to know what to order. I fell in love with Doner Kebab while I was in Berlin and got a ton of those here and elsewhere. I liked one at this place Mustafa in another neighborhood and that was the only other one as good as this place. I did try it as a wrap on the last night but I prefer it in the bread.

This is my 100th review, and I’ve been agonizing for a while over what business should get my 100th review. Actually, I noticed my pace of reviewing slowed down because I was agonizing over this problem. I am so glad it came to me – obviously my 100th review should be for the place I ate at most often while in Berlin: Rosenthaler Grill. This place has the best döner I’ve tasted anywhere in Berlin. They are insanely popular so the meat is never old and gross, like at some places I won’t mention. The veggie fillings are fresh and bounteous, and their sauces are delicious – my strong preference is for the Knoblauchsoße. The staff remind me so much of my hometown of Philly. Yes, it is a little terrifying if you’re at all unsure about what you want to order, but the people here really are sweet and if you seem truly clueless, they do have pity. I became a definite regular here and at some point I started gauging whether I was eating out too often by whether the guys gave me that, «Hey, great to see you!» vibe or the questioning, «Good God, don’t you have a stove?» vibe. lol It isn’t just their döner that is really good. I ate a LOT of their rotisserie chicken. That stuff is addictive, with the perfectly browned and caramelized skin. Yum! Also, their Grillteller are amazing, with an array of döner meat, sausages, cuts of lamb, etc. My sweetie and I also started eating their Italian dishes and those are really good, especially the more spicy pasta items. The only thing I was disappointed by was their falafel, but aside from that these guys turn out consistently amazing food. Definitely check this place out!

What can I say about Schlemmerbuffet except that I think it gives Mustafas a run for its Euros. Yes, I said it. I don’t know why I like this a tiny, tiny bit more than Mustafas, but I do. You have your choice of delicious meats and sauces you want for your Döner, and you can also request to include veggies if you like. If I’m not mistaken, you can also make a vegetarian version and opt for the falafel instead of meat. Perhaps it’s their sauces that make the Döners tasty, and it’s possible that the sauces are the secret to unifying all of the ingredients together to create a party in your mouth once you bite down. By the way, If you want Pommes Frites with your Döner, you’re going to have to order that on the side.( ) I’ve been to Schlemmerbuffet several times while I lived in Berlin, and I even brought my visiting family members from Kaiserslautern here who also enjoyed the food as much as my friend and I. The only issue that concerned my family and I was how the staff didn’t use gloves when preparing food. We’ve noticed this a few times in Germany. All I can say is that we’re still alive and healthy. Looking to expand your Döner Kebap horizons beyond Mustafas? Consider adding Schlemmerbuffet to your list.

This was the only place open after 10 p.m. near my hotel, so I had no choice but to order a piping hot kabob for 2 euros. Only… that’s not what I got. The dudes upsold me a chicken plate that was waaay too big for one, and I’d wished I’d stuck with the granola bar in my room. So if you’re hungry and it’s late, keep looking. Because this place is only so-so.

Aberto quase 24h e sempre cheio, é parada obrigatória para matar a fome depois de festa, ou para um ótimo Dönner Kebab. Boa localizacao, atendentes simpáticos, e bom preco. Nada especial, mas recomendado!
