Pizza Peppino

Pizza was good, but service was so rude and mean that we are giving them only 2 stars. It’s a pity cause it was cheap and good food

Great cheap pizza! Got the Hawaii (an) for 7.90 €, fresh made to go in about 10 minutes. They only take cash. Both workers spoke English which was a plus for me! One pizza could be shared, but I ate the whole thing: P it’s bigger than the average personal pizza in the US, but the crust is very thin.

This place is amazing! I, an American with no German skills was exhausted when I walked by this place. I knew I needed to eat something because it’s not good to skip meals, especially during the winter here in Berlin. Anyway, I walked into this delightful pizzeria and noticed the extensive menu they had. For some reason I can never find spinach at the grocery stores now, but they had a spinach pizza to lift my spirits. And boy did it! I miss how filling our American pizzas are and this was the first time that I’ve had a pizza in Berlin that made me feel stuffed. The cheeses (mozzarella and another white cheese similar to feta) complimented the spinach well. The spinach wasn’t wilted or soggy and the guy washed his hands before preparing the dough for me. He was incredibly friendly and I’ll definitely stop by again on my commute between work and home. Grazie Peppino!

Dined here while on vacation in Berlin — it was right down the street from our Airbnb. (It is attached to a convenience store, in case you need to grab anything afterward.) I had a simple mozzarella pizza and it was fantastic. Wonderfully cheesy and a good amount of food for the price (not sure the diameter of the pizza, but I was able to finish all but two slices by myself). You get your drinks from a fridge — there’s plenty to choose from, including Fritz Kola.

There’s a lot of nodding going on.
Don’t you find that some places try a little too hard, whilst others just go about their business effortlessly? This place is off the scale on the effortless side. It’s positively horizontal in the service department, not the speed of it, coz hot tasty food raced our way before I could say where’s my pizza? But the attitude. You’re never entirely sure whether they’ve taken it all in, but their un-​reassuring nod kinda puts you at ease? :/​
They’re very trusting though. If you want a drink then it’s a help yourself setup from the fridge. To make sure they knew I wasn’t pilfering I waved my chosen Berlin beer in their general direction and there it was again — That nod with half closed eyes. Come «The bill, please» time it was a case of, «just tell us what drinks you had». I wasn’t sure, coz copious amounts of drink (well, 3 bottles really) and counting aren’t my forte. But a helping hand from my sober friends soon brought order to my dodgy beer goggle arithmetic :)

Seriously impressed by Peppino. A wood fired oven with plenty of fresh basil and oregano? That works for me. Why is it not a five star? The chef was pretty rude to my girlfriend and I, and then ogling over the girls that came in after us (sans dudes). Not super unexpected, but still kind of obnoxious.

Our pizza was delicious and the server was very friendly. We highly recommend this restaurant!

Schöner Eingangsbereich, freundliche Begrüßung, eine schöné und dezente Auswahl an Pizzen, Pasta sowie Salat jedoch habe ich mich für eine Salami Picante entschieden und meine Freundin für einen Salat mit Hänchenstreifen.
Wir saßen im hinteren Raum… Einfach nur Wow für ein Restaurant, tolles Design dazu noch sehr edel dekoriert und tolles licht zum essen. Sehr romantisch !
Die Wartezeit betrug insgesamt etwa 10 Minuten und zuvor wurden uns die Getränke gebracht — sehr guter Service. Das essen war sehr köstlich und war einmalig bisher sowas habe ich zuletzt in Neapel essen dürfen — sehr italienischer Flair !
Preis leistungsverhältsnis war überragend meiner Meinung sogar zu preiswert für die ganze Qualität an essen, Location und den super Service den meine Freundin und ich erhalten habe.
Somit kann ich gutem Gewissen dieses Restaurant weiter empfehlen und ich werde demnächst wieder kommen, eindeutig.
Die Mitarbeiter hatten permanent ein freundliches Lächeln auf den Lippen und ein ehrliches dazu, sowas erkennt man ja. :) :)
