Pfauen-Apotheke

Everything in this Apotheke costs about twice what it would costs elsewhere. I live just around the corner from this place and considering I am sick with a cold I didn’t feel like walking someplace farther away, even though I know this place is ridiculously overpriced. (I once was going to buy some contact lens solution there once and they wanted 8 EUROS!) Today in my cold-​haze I went in there and asked for a pack of Grippostad, a bottle of Tantum Verde, and some Wicks salve. Just the Grippostad and the Wicks together were 19 Euros!!! I try my hardest to shop locally and support small business but this is simply price gouging. The woman working explained that since they don’t have much storage space and they want to offer as many products as possible to their customers, that they order smaller amounts of things, which means higher prices. In my opinion, during cold and flu season, basic medicines like Grippostad and Wicks are not items that need to be ordered in small batches… these are quite common things to have in stock this time of the year. Plus the Apotheke is just as large if not larger than any other one nearby, so I don’t know what kind of a stupid explanation that was that she was trying to feed me. To top it off, she didn’t give me my receipt. Very disappointed. Will not be buying anything here ever again.
