also, bei der traditionellen pizza (siehe karte) angeblicher büffelmozzarella und dann darauf verteilt drei kleingeschnittene geschmacklose coktailtomaten. née leute… das ist nicht euer ernst! und dann noch teilweise schwarz verbrannt…
ürbigens: den haus wein rot, würde ich mir hier auch sparen. offensichtlich macht es masse eben nicht, fühlte mich ziemlich veräppelt. kann ja sein, dass es mal gut war hier, aber ich werde es garantiert nicht nochmal ausprobieren.

Wir sind zufällig auf den Laden getroffen und geblieben. Es war voll und es wurde unter den Gästen viel italienisch gesprochen, was in der Regel auf eine gute Küche schließen lässt. Die offene Pizzawerkstatt sah ebenfalls vielversprechend aus.
Dem war dann auch so, insgesamt erinnerte die Pizza an die in Neapel, alle Zutaten waren frisch und sehr lecker. Die Lasagne war okay. Der Service schnell, freundlich und original wie das Ambiente (dieser Laden wird wirklich von Italienern geführt;-) und die Rezepte stammen bestimmt von Mama. Für uns als Hamburger auch noch herrliche Preise! Auf jeden zu empfehlen…

Sind auf Empfehlung hingegangen. Der Service war gut. Der Wein auch. Aber das Essen war leider nur mittelmäßig. Die Pizzen gingen noch. Aber der Fisch und die Artischocken waren zu Matsch verarbeitet. Es kann schon sein, dass man als erster Gast am Tag aufgewärmtes bekommt. Aber so etwas habe ich noch nicht erlebt. Da gehen wir jedenfalls nicht mehr hin.

Never again. We waited 1 hour and 10 min for the drinks, and 35 more min for the pizza. We were going to ask one of the ladies what was the problem that we were waiting that much, and she didn’t even respond, she left with a rude expression. Actually, pizzas were good, but not worthy almost 2 hours of waiting.

I really love this place and have already been there a few times after having my birthday dinner there. It is always busy and it’s pretty warm in the restaurant probably from the oven but it’s worth it as the pizza and toppings are delicious!!! I love the fresh buffalo mozzarella and chunks of tomato and fresh basil pizza it is superb!!! But I agree with a previous poster that the rim of the pizza is perfectly cooked and crispy but the inner part is rather mushy this could be improved. I still will continue going back because I really enjoy the pizza I have tried the spaghetti with olives and chilli and very much enjoyed that dish as well:)

Ich war heute mit mehren italienischen Freunden bei Masaniello, da uns das Lokal vielseitig empfohlen wurde. Der Service war gut und das Essen wurde schon nach wenigen Minuten serviert. Das Ambiente ist sehr nett. Die Einrichtung ist eher rustikal, jedoch sehr gemütlich. Die Pizzas werden im Holzofen zubereitet. Ich habe eine Pizza mit Aubergine, Artischocken und Mozarella bestellt, sowie diverse Deserts. Die Pizza war auch sehr lecker und wurde von den Italienern als «sehr gut» empfunden. Insgesamt vergeben wir trotzdem nur 4 Sterne. Es war alles sehr zufriedenstellend, aber auch nicht einzigartig. Trotzdem sehr zu empfehlen!

Gestern zum dritten mal besucht. Mal wieder vor einer Veranstaltung und ohne Reservierung. Gegen 17.30 Uhr an einem Samstag schwante mir schon böses am «Einlass».
Allerdings hatten wir Glück! Wir erhielten zu zweit einen Tisch für gute 90 Minuten. Zuerst war ich skeptisch. Schaffen wir das in den paar Minuten?! Im weiteren Verlauf aber so froh, den Tisch bekommen zu haben!
Sehr freundliche (wechselnde) Bedienung!
Wein Ok, Café Latte und Wasser (darf man ja mal sagen…) sehr gut.
Mal wieder Oliven und Käse als Vorspeise bestellt. Lecker Brot dazu. Zum reinlegen!
Meine Begleitung hatte als Hauptgericht diesmal Kalb mit Zitronensauce ausgesucht. Die Zitrone etwas dominant und Salzzufuhr alá «Koch verliebt»… nun ja.
ich schwelge noch in Oliven, Käse und Pizza mit Büffelmozzerallla. Die Pizza erstklassig diesmal! Nich‘ so fürchterlich keksig bzw hart!
Als Nachspeise Pistazienmousse mit Schokoüberzug geteilt. Appetitlich.
Gut war auch, das wir keinem Stress ausgesetzt waren, den Tisch für die nächsten Gäste, welche reserviert hatten, frei zugeben.
Beim nächsten Huxleys´s Besuch gern wieder! ;-)

Sehr gute Pizza. Ein Freund hat mir diese Pizzeria empfohlen. In Berlin gibt es wenige wie das hier.

Das Essen ist sehr lecker und die Mitarbeiter freundlich! Auch die Stimmung ist spitze.

Eine gute pizza. Mehr auch nicht. Leider hatte die Pizzeria als wir da waren wesbensaison… viele touristenwesben… gute stuhlpolster beim mitnehmen in die nahegelegene hasenheide: vorhanden… schuhputzservice wird während der wesbensaison nicht angeboten somit auch kein urteil. Ausserdem hat mir ein normaler Gast zugelächtet, hat allerdings nichts mit der Pizza zu tun gehabt, glaube ich… wenn doch will ich eine Entschuldigung.

Sehr leckere Pizza, aber viele Faktoren, die mich nicht zum Bleiben einluden:
— viele eng gestellte Tische mit Reserviert-​Schildern ohne tatsächliche Reservierung
— viele herumstehende Bedienungen, die ob der frühen Abendstunde ein Gefühl von realexistierendem Sozialismus verbreitet haben
— auf viel Betrieb optimierte Außeneinrichtung, die deshalb entsprechend kärglich ausfällt
Erkenntnis des Tages: hier wäre ein Lieferdienst großartig. :)

Holzofenpizza vom Feinsten. Und im Sommer im großen Garten vor der Tür.

Früher fand ich das Masaniello sehr gut (****), aber ein erneuter Besuch gestern hat mich enttäuscht.
Größtes Manko: Bedienung ist sehr schlecht und die «Nutella-​Pizza» als Nachtisch wurde von der Karte gestrichen.
Nicht (mehr) zu empfehlen!

— Schlechte Bedienung (unfreundlich, unaufmerksam, unenteressiert, Bestellungen wurden vergessen)
— Essen mittelmäßig
— Atmosphäre ist ok/​nichts Außergewöhnliches (haben diesmal auf der Terrasse gesessen).

Pizza und Tagespasta ja, Ruccolasalat preislich überzogen, Dessert etwas mächtig.
Das Lokal war gut besucht, man konnte draußen sitzen, auch Italiener besuchen dieses Restaurant. Die Pizza war wie in anderen Beiträgen bereits beschrieben dünn und im Steinofen gebacken. Die Tagespasta war sehr lecker! Preislich beides ok. Der ruccolasalat, welcher nur aus ruccola, ein paar kirschtomaten, Parmesan ohne Dressing bestand, ist mit 6,50 Euro etwas überzogen. Wir hatten noch zwei mächtige, süße Kalorienbomben zum Nachtisch, deren italienische Bezeichnung ich mir nicht merken konnte, etwas mit pistazienmousse und Schokoüberzug und ein cremiges Tortenstückchen mit Birne. Mal etwas anderes, so noch nicht gegessen. War lecker, aber mächtig. Fotos habe ich beigefügt.

Neukölln ist fast wie Urlaub machen! War man gerade noch auf dem Tempelhofer Feld und hat endlich mal viel Platz für seine Gedanken gefunden in dieser wunderbaren Weite, so ist man in nur ein paar Gehminuten weiter mitten im türkisch-​arabischen Leben der Boddinstraße. Läuft man dann noch etwas weiter und schlendert an der Hasenheide entlang, dann kommt man bald zum Masaniello und schon ist man in Bella Italia! Soviel Urlaub an einem Tag gibt es nur in Berlin.
Wir waren auf der Terrasse gesessen und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Meine Begleitung hatte ein Pasta Frutti di Mare, ich habe mir eine Pizza bestellt und während wir auf unser Essen warten und noch ganz warm von der Sonne sind, merken wir was mit Dolce Vita gemeint ist.
Das Essen war großartig, die Bedienung war zuvorkommend und die Preise sind absolut moderat. Deshalb kann nicht anders als fünf Sterne vergeben!

If you can get a spot on the patio, this place is great. It’s possibly the best pizza I’ve had in Germany, and better than some I had in Italy. The eggplant pizza was my favourite.

Fantastic! Service was great. It was 4 of us. Good was incredible. Highly recommended. Ordered salami, olive and artichoke pizza. As well as ham and artichoke pizza along with arugula salad. Red house wine was a winner. Less than 40 euro total for 4 of us

Overrated.
It’s a busy pizza hub for the ones relying on Mundpropaganda and internet rating portals ;) so you will mainly find young people there using their smartphones and talking about their latest project in the creative area.
The interior is not really cosy.
The pizzas are quite big, araound 7 to 9 euros and really good, but by no means crunchy. The rim is thick, the inner part thin and rather soft or floppy. The idea with the parmesan on the pizza is great. The buffalo mozzarella is being good but the aroma of the other ingredients are too strong, so it’s hard to note whether it is «bufala di campana» or it isn’t.
The waiters are quick and short in words, polite but to a certain degree also appear to be kind of annoyed — or alternatively «cool», because their restaurant is so popular they don’t need to be really friendly. The question if the food was good doesn’t seem to be a honest question. So far, I’ll just give two stars — because I think there are better places for getting a good pizza.
I’d suggest maybe da Dante with their crunchy pizzas in Oranienstraße or Ron Telesky with their innovative pizzas in Gräfekiez (although both also have a lack of friendlyness)

War eigentlich schon alles voll und reserviert haben schwer einen Platz bekommen. Das war aufjedenfall nicht das letzte mal gewesen:)

Die Pizza war gut, schön belegt, dünner Teig, leckere Gewürze. Der Service war freundlich und schnell was möchte man mehr. Die Einrichtung ist nicht besonders gestylt aber sehr gemütlich. Das einzige was ich unschön finde obwohl Sie sehr schön sein könnte ist die Terrasse. Diese ist ungepflegt und abgenutzt hätte mich fast vom Besuch abgehalten und dann hätte ich die leckere Pizza verpasst.

In der Tat ist nicht nur die Pizza ein Gedicht, und zwar die Magherita mit dem S.T.G.-Gütesiegel.
Auch die Pasta, v.a. die mit Meeresfrüchten und Fischen, ist sehr empfehlenswert: die Muscheln sind frisch und bringen eine eigene Süße mit, die Pasta wird nicht in irgendeiner Soße ertränkt, sondern nur mit dem Sud der Meeresfrüchte, Knoblauch, Butter und Zitrone verfeinert.
Die Preise sind mehr als fair.
Einziger Kritikpunkt: die Antipasti (genauer: das eingelegte Gemüse) schmecken etwas fade, d.h. sind ungewürzt.

Top Pizza! Persönlich die beste Pizza die ich in Berlin gegessen habe. Jeden Italiener den ich frage, gibt mir hierzu Recht. Die Qualität der Pizza ist auf höchstem Niveau. Über den Rest kann ich nichts sagen, da ich sie zum Mitnehmen genommen habe.

Meine neue Lieblingspizzeria in Berlin! Die Karte ist schön reduziert und bietet authentische Pizzen abseits von der gängigen riesigen Auswahl vom Pizza Hawaii & Co. Alles schmeckt frisch und sehr lecker.
Einen Stern Abzug gibt es für das Ambiente. Alles ist ziemlich voll gestellt, besonders draußen, was das ganze nicht so gemütlich macht. Das Personal könnte auch etwas freundlicher sein.
Aber wie gesagt: Top Pizza und sehr gutes Gesamtpaket!

As a fan of Pizza I’m always on the search for a good eatery, I’ve eaten Pizza in the oldest Pizza restaurant in the world and many others in the home city of Pizza, Napoli. I have my benchmark. An Italian neighbour of mine and an Italian friend of mine both separately recommended this restaurant to me I had to try. Here they do Pizza Napoli, among other things, but for now I want to talk Pizza because I do not think I will be able to order anything non-​pizza when I come here. I have eaten here about 4 times and eaten 5 types of Pizza (c’mon, I was hungry that day!!) each time I have not been disappointed. The pizza base (a common fail in other restaurants) was balanced, flavorful, thin and crispy at the edges and not soggy in the middle. All the toppings were tasty and fresh. Win Win! The staff are friendly enough but ran off their feet because it is very busy, service is relatively quick and facilities are small but well kept. Best advice, especially at the weekend, is to book a table in advance, you don’t want the dissapointment of seeing OTHER people enjoying those lovely pizzas without you!

Wenn ich zu masaniello esse, fühle ich mich in Urlaub.
Ich bin früher öfters vorbeigegangen und dachte mir, es sah nicht so anlockend aus. Als ich aber doch zum ersten mal dort gegessen habe, habe ich es bereut es nicht früher gemacht zu haben.
Denn die Pizza super lecker schmeckt. Bin fast süchtig geworden. Mir schmeckt am besten die mit Sardellen und Kapern.
Die Bedienung ist auch ganz in Ordnung. Toller Wein muss man dort nicht erwarten.

I came back here with all my friends excited about this great pizza place I had discovered on my trip to Berlin. I insisted to 4 of the 6 ppl at our table to order the house special pizza. The waiter brought us the wrong order due to an issue in the kitchen which he failed to mention. I was terribly embarrassed as I made all my friends order the same pizza, the waiter didn’t offer any apology and when I sent my pizza back he became increasingly arrogant and continued to insist that «its ok». My friends didn’t enjoy their food, I was terribly embarrassed for making the fuss of bringing them there as the food was bland and not what they ordered and forced to pay. We had no apology from management and will never come back.

I must admit, Berlin has showed me some of the best pizza ive ever had in my life. Then there’s this place. Absolutely blown away by their pizza and love how authentic their recipe’s are in true Italian fashion. If you’re foreign like me, remember to specify to get your pizza sliced for you. I’ll be back with all my friends thank you.

Today we once again sampled the wonder of Italy, while still at home in Berlin. Ristorante Masaniello (not to overstate it) is the shit.
Run by a family from Naples, the place charmed from the moment we entered and the wood powered oven cooked our divine pizza margherita. Who knew that a little tomato sauce, buffalo mozzarella and basil was all you really needed on a pizza? Oh right — the Italians. This place reconfirms that all you need is the right ingredients to make transcendent food.
We ordered another pizza with salami and, olives & artichokes… but that margherita stole our heart. Its pure creamy goodness was exactly what we wanted. And their spicy oil was even better than XXL — an impressive feat. On top of all this, our Italian server, homey décor, and temptress of a courtyard already have us planing for a return visit. Parents — we are taking you here. You’re welcome.

I had yesterday stuffed indivy and dorade ‘acqua pazza’: delicious. Definetly worth a visit!

I’ve been told that this is the best Neopolitan pizza in Berlin, if not the best pizza in general. After a year of hearing about it and walking by it I finally went with my friend for a nice dinner.
We were seated promptly, greeted with smiles and kindness. We shared a nice pizza with gorgonzola and salsiccia, along with a tomato and onion salad and a small carafe of house wine. We’re both not small guys, and we were totally content with the amount of food, even taking home 3 slices of left over pie.
We finished with the mascarpone desert which was amazing, and two ridiculously strong and flavorful espressos.
While I have yet to decide if it’s really the BEST pizza in Berlin, I can honestly say that it was definitely quite good, but the gnocchi really was the impressive dish on our table.
Highly recommend this place. By the way, the main courses look amazing, but just a bit too pricey for my budget normally.

we went on a saturday night. the place, especially the outside area, was quiet crowded. reservation was necessary. Aperol-​Prosecco was good. vino della casa is not to be recommended, though the waiter did. now the menu says the seafood serverd is ‘surgelato’ which means frozen as my italian-​american company told me. upon request however the waiter offered us three different plates of fresh seafood. we went for spaghetti alle vongole and the pizza with buffalo mozzarella, passata, basil and olive oil. pasta was decent. the pizza was good but the crust didn’t convince neither of us. the staff is incredibly unattentive and slow. décor is old and not authentic. plywood just doesn’t do it. wont be seen there again

Wir wollten das Restaurant an einem Samstag Abend ausprobieren, wo die Schlange bei Il Casolare definitiv zu lang gewesen wäre. Die Pizzas waren gut, aber es gibt nicht so viel Auswahl als bei IC und nicht so viele kreative Optionen. Pizza aber lecker und Bedienung schnell und relativ freundlich.

Service on the evening we were there was horrible. The man was rude and we had to wait at least 15 minutes for our drinks.
Rest of the staff seemed nice though, maybe our guy just had a bad day.

This is my favorite Pizza place in Berlin. Whenever I go there it is always packed with Italians, so they must be doing something right! They have a huge variety of Pizzas and I have tried several of them and I really like the S.T.G Pizza Margherita mit Tomate, Mozzarella und Basilico it is amazing. I
The outdoor seating is really lovely in the spring and summer, and the staff are friendly and attentive… all from Italy you can practice your Italian language skills! One thing I wouldn’t reccomend is the house wine… order off the wine list, sit on the terrace enjoy a slice of pizza and you’ll feel like your on a little mini Italian vacation! :)

Este Restaurante me encanta. Las Pizzas son las mejor que comi por ahora en Berlin. Ademas son baratas y los camareros muy amables. Yo le doy 5 estrellas por que pienso que es casi impossible hacer unas pizzas mas deliciosas que estas. Wer war noch mal IL Casolare?
Keine Ahnung, aber die Pizza hier ist besser, die Bedienung freundlich und schneller und das Ambiente drinnen wie draußen super angenehm. So muss das sein. 5 Sterne die von Herzen kommen!
