Kasbah

Betritt man das Kasbah, dann kommt man in einen Raum, der an 1000 und eine Nacht erinnert. Zumindest, wie sich das der Europäer so vorstellt.
Das Licht ist gedämpft, es dominieren kräftige Farben, vor allem ot und gelb und es schimmert golden. Die Tische aller Größen ab zwei Personen sind aber heiß begehrt, weshalb es empfehlenswert ist vorzureservieren.
Die Bedienung ist hier sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Kurze Zeit nach der Bestellung — die deswegen schwer fällt, weil man am liebsten alle Gerichte haben möchte — kommt die Bedienung mit einer Kanne Rosenwasser und einer Schüssel. Händewaschen ist angesagt.
Das Essen, der Grund weshalb man herkommt, ist absolute Spitze. Wir hatten Lamm-​Tajine mit Cous-​cous und zuvor Harira-​Suppe. Jeweiuls hervorragend gewürzt und das Fleisch zart und geschmackvoll. Übrigens auch für Lamm-​Skeptiker geeignet, denn der typische Eigengeschmack war nicht vorhanden. Für vegetarisch lebende Zeitgenossen gibt es die fleischlose Tajine-​Variante
Zum Essen hatten wir einen französischen Rotwein ausgewählt, der hervorragend passte. Dazu noch Mineralwasser. Ach ja, um es nicht zu vergessen: Hier wird sogar Wasser aus der auf dem Tisch stehenden Flasche nachgeschenkt, wenn die Gläser leer sind.
Auf jeden Fall werde ich öfter herkommen, egal ob allein, mit Freunden oder Gästen.

Ich fand das Essen sehr lecker. Mal was anderes als immer nur Bürger und Sushi!
Bedienungen sehr nett, könnten noch etwas aufmerksamer sein, aber das Essen war lecker. Zartes Huhn mit Datteln und Walnüssen wurden mit Couscous serviert.
Wir werden wieder dort hin gehen.

Big disappointment. This beautiful restaurant has unfortunately immediately lost its charme as soon as the manager told us to either order food (we were some old friends that met for tea and sweets in the evening) or leave the restaurant. After asking why the menu said «restaurant and coffeehouse» the owner argued that «this is the old menu, and the business card only indicate it is a restaurant» he added in a harsh tone that he cannot only serve us tea as he «has to cover his costs». Everything but smart management and rewarding new guests. And anything but the ambiance of the Arabic tea relaxation culture I know.
Anyhow. We were unwilling to look for a new place that night, so we decided to order a platter of Moroccan sweets (as we weren’t allowed to only drink tea). We were served a tiny portion 2 small halwa rolls (we were 3 people) — you expect something else when you read a «variety of sweets/​halwa» for nearly 5 Euros. It made us feel as if they are making a fool out of us. Friends have told me the place used to be one of the best Arabic restaurants in the area, but with time portions and food quality shrinked to an unacceptable size.
We left the restaurant with a bitter feeling. The manager tried to apologize and inform us, that we have reserved a table, and reservations at evenings are only possible for dinner. However on the phone my friend had informed the service, that we would have some sweets and tea. If the management would really have meant to cover the unacceptable behavior, he could have done better. Sorry, not again.

Tried my first tajine, now I’m hooked. I had the chicken tajine, others were as enthusiastic about the lamb. Excellent service. Next to us was a table of what appeared to be well-​healed Moroccan guys, a good sign.

Wir wollten marokkanisch essen und nach einem Blick in Unilocal war die Entscheidung schnell getroffen. Viele gute Bewertungen.
Vor Ort fiel uns sofort die nette Bedienung und die gemütliche, verspielte Einrichtung auf.
Wir waren recht früh am Abend dort und bestellten Tajine, einmal mit Gemüse und einmal mit Fleischbällchen. (11, — EUR) Vorab gab es die Prozedur des Händewaschens mit warmen Rosenwasser. Das ist ein feines Erlebnis.
+++Wie hat es uns gefallen?
Die Tadjine schmeckten gut, jedoch hatten wir für den Preis mehr erwartet. Wer ordentlich Hunger hat, sollte noch Vorspeisen bestellen.
Der Minztee aus der marokkanischen Metallkanne war sehr lecker. Zum Nachtisch hatten wir Crème Brulée (5,-) und einen Mokka. Ich empfand den Mokka als wässrig. Da ich keinen Vergleich habe, ist es möglich, dass in Marokko nicht so starker Mokka getrunken wird. Wer also einen starken Mokka erwartet sollte ihn besser nicht bestellen.
Die Bedienung hatte dann gegen 20 Uhr ordentlich zu tun. Also nicht ungeduldig werden.
+++Fazit:
Schön eingerichteter Laden mit freundlicher Bedienung. Für das Gebotene sind die Preise recht hoch.

Mega lecker, nette Bedingungen und super Location! :) Top möchte ich nur empfehlen.

Definitiv eine meiner neuen Lieblings-​Locations in Berlin!!!
UNBEDINGT MAL HINGEHEN
Als erstes ist das Ambiente wirklich bezaubernd. Es empfiehlt sich zu reservieren, dann bekommt man auch einen Tisch unter den schönen Tüchern. Sehr geschmackvoll, typisch marokkanische Einrichtung. Da fühlt man sich schon beim Betreten wohl.
Die Bedienung ist äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend.
Bevor man isst werden einem die Hände mit Rosenwasser gewaschen. Spätestens jetzt ist man wie in einem Märchen aus 1001 Nacht. Da kann man richtig abschalten und genießen. Ich liebe generell solche Zeremonien, weil sie eine Wertschätzung bedeuten.
Das Essen war köstlichst!
Frisch zubereitet und selbst gebackenes Brot.
Wir hatten Lamm und Fisch Tajine. Also, ich werde sobald ich wieder in Berlin bin wieder hierher kommen. Für mich ein kulinarischer Hochgenuss!
Eigentlich wollte ich noch einen Nachtisch probieren, aber da ich eine Vorspeise hatte habe ich verzichtet.
Das Essen ist sehr gut gewürzt und sehr gut bekömmlich. Da ausser dem Brot auch keine Kohlenhydrate verwendet wurden hat man nach dem Essen ein herrlich leichtes Gefühl von Sattheit und Zufriedenheit.

Tolles Restaurant. Sehr schön, verspielt und mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und man fühlt sich sofort wohl.
Die Speisen sind lecker und aromatisch zubereitet. Allerdings hatten wir es noch etwas intensiver gewürzt erwartet.

I was here yesterday evening with two companions. I wanted to try this restaurant as I have passed by this place several times before, and I finally had the chance to do that when one of my companions said that we should go out.
Anyway, we figured 7PM would be a good time to go, and since it was a Tuesday, we figured a reservation was not necessary. I showed up and immediately was given a table for 3.
We all ordered tagines; different kinds. In addition, I asked for a pot of Moroccan mint tea. While we were waiting for our food, as typical Moroccan places do it, they wash your hands with rosewater. That was a nice touch, which I haven’t seen since I ate at a Moroccan restaurant in Boston in 2009.
My lamb tagine was perfect; it was melting and not tough at all. Very tasty, and the combination of spices as well as plums and almonds were perfect. My companions also seemed to enjoy their meal as well.
Perhaps the only thing that prevents me from giving them a full 5 stars is the price. I had the impression that it was a little pricier than it should be, given the quality of the food and overall impression. For its price range, I almost expect to see white table linen, but then again, for a restaurant that tries to give its customers an «ethnic» experience (as opposed to just «ethnic» food), then this one does the trick well.

Ich empfand das Kasbah als sehr angenehm. Wir wurden sehr nett begrüßt, durften uns im noch leeren Lokal einen Tisch aussuchen. Das Ambiente ist sehr ansprechend und hübsch. Die Bedienung war den ganzen Besuch über äußerst freundlich und aufmerksam. Auch wir durften unsere Hände in Rosenwasser waschen, das Ritual kannte ich bis dahin nicht. Wir bestellten beide Couscous, beide Gerichte kamen sehr schnell und waren sehr lecker, etwas preisintensiv vielleicht. Aber des Restaurant ist eh etwas romantischer Natur, da geht man also eher selten hin. Somit sind die Preise für mich wieder in Ordnung. Ob das Essen authentisch war, kann ich nicht sagen, da ich mich mit Marokko nicht auskenne. Ich habe mich sehr wohlgefühlt und komme sicher mal wieder.

Ich wollte mal wieder marokkanisch essen, vor allem Tajine. Das Ambiente hier mag marokkanisch wirken, nicht aber das Essen. Wer schon echte marokkanische Küche genossen hat, wird hier enttäuscht sein. Die Entwicklung geht klar Richtung Touristenecke. Mitte und Kulinarie heute unvereinbarer Begriff! Nein, danke!

Hands down the best Moroccan food I’ve had thus far.
What to expect…
The location is in a quiet, tucked away street, amidst a residential hood, but still located in Mitte which is the hip, artsy, non-​pretentious part of Berlin.
The interior design, as you can imagine, is dimly lit, with tent-​style seating. We sat at a regular table, so that is an option if you dont’ want to feel like you’re being woo’ed under the stars.
The service is friendly and attentive. I also look a bit Moroccan, but I don’t believe that affects the waiters’ service.
The food. OHHHH the food.
Appetizers: Pastilla with Chicken. When I first told my friend to order it, and she saw it had chicken AND cinnamon, she was highly dubious. She didn’t know if it was dessert, or a meal or what. I demanded she order it. And after she tasted it, her eyes rolled backwards. She’s now converted. Seriously, their pastilla is amazing.
I also ordered the Salad Kasbah as an appetizer
The menu describes them as :Warm «Moroccan cigars», oriental pastry, filled with tender chicken, served on a bed of seasonal salads with fruits and our homemade orange-​honey-​dressing” — The ingredients so fresh, the dish so fragrant.
Main Course: Vegetarian Couscous (me), Lamb Tagine (her)
Portions are huge, and taste is not compromised.
Dessert: Mint Tea. Aids with digestion. Each one of us got our own pot (mine with sugar, hers — sans)
If I was a local, I’d be a regular.

Wir sind ehr durch zufall an diesem wunderschönen Ort der Gastlichkeit gelandet. Das von uns vovorisierte, hippere Restaurant war an dem Abend bereits ausgebucht, wir entschieden uns dann für das Kasbah. Diese Entscheidung haben wir nicht eine Sekunde bereut!
Man betritt eine andere Welt, hattenw ir doch auf ein mal nicht mehr das Gefühl in Berlin zu sein. Die Bedinung war sehr höflich, zuvorkommend. Vor dem Essen wurden entsprechendes zum waschen der Hände gereicht.
Die Vorspeisen kamen zügig und waren ein Gaumenschmauss. Die Hauptspeise (entweder Couscous oder Tajine — wir entschieden uns für den Couscous) war frisch zubereitet und köstlich. Wir haben dann noch Dessert bestellt und auch an diesem war überhaupt nichts aus zu setzten!
Fazit, ein tolles, kleines Restaurant in mitten der pulierenden Metropole Berlin, welches dazu einläd abzuschalten und einzutauchen in eine andere Welt. Danke, das wir diese Erfahrung machen durften!

Ich war vor Jahren das erste Mal im Kabah und damals sehr angetan, so dass ich jetzt bei einem Berlin-​Besuch mit meinem Mann dort einkehrte.
Die Deko noch genauso schön wie vor Jahren, erinnert sehr an 1001 Nacht. Hände waschen mit Rosenwasser vorweg.
Ich wußte schon vorher, was ich nehmen wollte, mein Mann, das erste mal marokkanisch essen, wollte gern von allem ein bißchen probieren, so kamen 3 Vorspeisen, von dem gemischten Vorspeisenteller wurde ihm abgeraten, weil es zu viel sein, wenn er noch einen Hauptgang wolle.
Vorspeisen schmeckten meinem Mann sehr gut.
Hauptgericht war bei uns Beiden Tajine, dazu, wie in Marokko üblich, frisches Brot. Es war noch warm und sehr lecker.
Leider muss ich sagen, dass ich bei meinem Tajine de Desert mit marinierten Zitronen nicht wie erwartet echte marokkanische (eingelegte) Zitronen hatte, sondern einfach nur geschnittene Zitronen. Geschmeckt hat es aber trotzdem.
Mein Mann hatte Lamm mit Mandeln und Pflaumen und war sehr angetan.
Als Marokko-​Kenner bestellte ich für uns Atay, wie der Pfefferminztee in Marokko heißt und wurde masslos enttäuscht!
Ich liebe den leckeren Tee mit frischer Minze sehr, hier aber schmeckte es nur nach Wasser mit kaum wahrnehmbarem Minzgeschmack. Wir wurden vorher gefragt, ob gesüßt oder ungesüßt. Da er nur gesüßt schmeckt, sagte ich natürlich gesüßt, aber auch davon schmeckte ich kaum was!
Mein Mann, der den Tee nicht kennt, meinte, er sei ok, aber ich hätte ihn am liebsten zurück gehen lassen.
Sehr schade, denn das ist ein Stück Marokko und sollte auch so schmecken.
Ein weiterer Schreck ereilte mich dann bei der Rechnung, die doch recht hoch ausfiel
Insgesamt war es ok und wenn wir noch mal vorbei schauen, garantiert ohne Tee-​Bestellung!

Un bon restaurant marocain dans un quartier calme à quelques mètres de Hackescher Markt et Alexander Platz. Je le recommande.

Actually I was planning on going to the ramen place next door but it was packed. I have to thank all the 20 year olds eating ramen, because of them I had another great meal and an enjoyable time at kasbah.
The inside of kasbah is inviting and warm. The back terrace, where we ate was lovely for a hot summer day.
The Moroccan wine we were interested was out, but our server recommend the hose wine, which he allowed us to taste first, and was a real find. And very reasonably priced. There were a number of things worth trying but we settled on the lamb tangine with prunes and almonds, and a salad with merguez sausage. The sausage was very good but the star was the lamb. The sauce was a combination of flavor very different than I’ve had before, and it was amazing! And just so you know, I’m a bit jaded when it comes to good food by this point in my life so, when I said it was a new flavor to me and amazing give it some weight as I’m not a typical yank raised on burgers and KFC, i’ve been around the block! That tangine was practically licked clean by the time we were done with it. The lamb was tender and excellent, the plums made an interesting counter point.
The service was excellent and I plan to go again before I leave town. Maybe, I’ll try the couscous next time.

Geschmacklich unterm Durchschnitt. Ambiente mag zwar versucht authentisch sein, aber kam bei mir nicht an. Die Preise sind für die meines Erachtens mäßige Qualität nicht gerechtfertigt.

OMG, this place was amazing. I felt as though me and my dining companions were transported to an exotic, magical land where the room was darkly lit, rich tapestries and wooden panels adorn the walls, the tea scented with mint, and the server is too beautiful for words.
We had a wonderful meal of vegetarian tagine with cous cous, marinated carrots and salad. Flavors were amazing, complex and euphoric. Some of the most tasty vegetarian cuisine I have stumbled upon. An incredible experience.

Today I went to this restaurant with my husband for dinner. The decoration caught our attention, which was nice but a little too much. Everything was good until we ordered. I wasn’t extremely hungry and I told the waitress, and she insisted by recommending different dishes. I picked one and about a minute after she left, I chnged my mind and asked her to cancel the order. Her reply was, I’m sorry, it’s too late for that”.
We ended up waiting for more than 20 minutes until the waitress finally brought the starter. There were 3 little bowls; one with carrots, that seemed to come out of a can and heated up in the microwave, another one with grilled egg plant that was way too salty and the third with grilled paprika. It also had a type of pastry with chicken inside, which was hard and dry. It was nothing special, just a boring taste. I think it was way too expensive for what we were served, EUR20.00. Then, the main course was brought to us. It was better, but quite plain in taste. The amount of food per dish was acceptable. I still think that the prices were way too high for the quality. The price range per dish was EUR11.00 20.00. I will not go back there for the mentioned reasons. I wouldn’t recommend going there you’ll just throw your money away.

Wir waren erstmalig im Kasbah, auf Empfehlung eines Freundes.
Beim Betreten des Restaurants wurden wir sehr freundlich empfangen.
Das Ambiente ist passend und stilecht. Die Reinigung mit dem Rosen-​Wasser wurde uns zuteil. Obwohl wir den Geruch nicht sonderlich mögen, fühlten sich die Hände danach sehr weich an.
Der Vorspeisenteller für 20 Euro war köstlich, die Menge ausreichend, aber nicht gerade üppig.
Die Tajinen hingegen waren wunderbar. Mein Hähnchen mit Datteln und karamelisierten Walnüssen war der Hit. Das Rind vom Freund scheinbar auch.
Satt wurden wir so sehr, dass ein Nachtisch einfach nicht mehr rein ging. Der Wein war auch lecker und so bleibt als Fazit: weiter so, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Die Portionen waren heute für uns alle groß genug, zu einer Geburtstagsfeier waren wir mit 12 Personen angereist und alle waren zufrieden. Sehr freundliches Personal!

Wir waren zu fünft im Kasbah essen, hatten einen Tisch bestellt und wurden freundlich empfangen.
Das Restaurant ist wirklich hübsch und dekorativ eingerichtet. Uns wurde das Begrüßungsritual zuteil und wir durften unsere Hände über einer gereichten Schüssel waschen.
Unser Kellner war insgesamt ein Schätzchen, niedlich, freundlich und sehr leutselig bei Nachfragen wurde uns geduldig erklärt, was sich hinter den einzelnen Gerichten verbarg.
Die Gerichte selbst (wir hatten uns alle für unterschiedliche Vorspeisen und Hauptgerichte entschieden) waren alle sehr lecker und sehr gut und ansprechend zubereitet die Portionen sind allerdings (wie ja auch schon von anderen Schreibern hier angemerkt wurde) vergleichsweise (zu) klein. Wenn man hungrig hingeht, verlässt man das Lokal auch nach Vorspeise UND Hauptspeise nicht übersättigt).
Insgesamt war es aber ein sehr schöner Abend wir würden sicherlich noch einmal hingehen.

Ich hatte mich vor dem Besucht auf Qype informiert und war gespannt.
Das von vielen erwähnte Reinigen der Hände mit Rosenwasser habe ich an anderen Tischen gesehen aber weder mir noch meiner Begleitung wurde dieses Zeremoniell zuteil schade und da das Lokal nicht sehr voll war, kann ich dies nicht mit Überforderung entschuldigen.
Als Vorspeise hatten wir 3 Teigtaschen (6,90) mit unterschiedlichen Füllungen, diese lagen auf in Streifen geschnittenem Eisbergsalat. Die drei Teigtaschen waren sehr sehr sehr klein und für diesen Preis entschieden zu klein. Geschmacklich waren sie OK, aber keine kulinarische Offenbarung.
Als Hauptgang hatten wir zwei Tajines (Huhn mit Zitronen und grünen Oliven sowie Lamm mit Backpflaumen und Mandeln). Auch hier gilt das gleiche wie bei der Vorspeise: geschmacklich OK, aber für 14 Euro sind 5 Stück Lammfleisch entschieden zu wenig; das Fleisch war jedoch zart. Da zum Essen viel Brot serviert wurde bin ich doch nicht hungrig nach Hause gegangen.
Fazit: für den Preis zu wenig für das wenige zu wenig Geschmack. Schade Ich war heute zum ersten und zum letzten Mal im Kasbah.

I was on a trip and read about Kasbah on the Lonely Planet guidebook. The restaurant is amazing. I loved the beautiful décor and the food is the ultimate star.
If you are going I recommend choosing either a soup or a Tajine dish and not both. The soup and Tajine have similar base, so it ends up being too much of one. Of all the food the Tajine was the star, however, I felt that I should have gotten some rice to go with it, rather than naan. The delicious broth at the bottom does not get used as the naan can only get so much. I had a fish Tajine and it was beautiful to look at, extremely warm, complex in flavor and filling. I imagine that the tajine would be a wonderful dish to go to on a cold Fall day or Winter day. Just the right amount of comfort food.
The soup is great as well. Like I said the base is the same as the Tajine, so it ends up being too much of a good thing and too filling. We ate the soup with the bread, which is just great!
To finish off the meal, we had some lovely crème brûlée with Mint tea and Arab coffee. The crème brûlée was at the same class as some fine dining establishments if not more. It was almost the best type of crème brûlée that I have ever had. The tea was served in beautiful containers and was a perfect end to a perfect evening.
The other great part about the place is the hand wash in rose scented water. It is so nice. I wish I had that water to take a bath in :)
If you are in Berlin and need a place away from all the tourist hoopla, please visit this place. It is easily accessible, the staff is extremely helpful and the food is the star!

Hier kann man sehr lecker Marokkanisch essen, also zumindest die Europäer Version.
Der Service ist angenehm freundlich und unaufdringlich.
In Marokko sind die Tajiness besser, in Berlin gibt es die besten im Kasbah.

Brochette sind kleine gegrillte Fleischspieße. Dieses wurd in der Regel vorher eingelegt und wird mit allerlei Gemüse garniert. Während meines Marokko-​Urlaubs bin ich so richtig auf den Geschmack von Brochettes gekommen. Natürlich habe ich zwischendurch auch immer wieder mal eine Tajine probiert. Und dazu ordentlich Minztee…
Das Kasbah bietet alles, was die marrokanische Küche zu beiten hat — bis auf Fleischspieße. Da ist das restaurant in der Gipsstraße aber bei weitem nicht der einzige, der sich Marrokaner schimpft, und wo es keine Brochettes gibt. Das ist glaube ic wie mit Döner Kebap in der Türkei — die gibt es dort ja auch nicht…
Ich war trotzdem sehr vom Essen angetan. Das Restaurant bietet ausreichend Platz und bequeme Sitzmöglichkeiten. Was für Marokko auch wieder eher untypsich ist, aber gut, in Deutchlanfd verbindet man scheinbar mit Marokko «Tausend und 1 Nacht» und Kissen bis die Mutti quietscht. Leckeres Essen, ich komme gerne wieder.

Da wir demnächst nach Marokko fliegen, wollten wir schon mal das «Essen» testen. Ich muß sagen, es war sehr gut und nun freue ich mich auf das «Original» in Marokko. Wir haben Tajines gegesen … hervorragend. Die Vermutung einer «Berlinkennerin», es könnte sich um eine Touristenfalle handeln hat sich nicht bewarheitet.

I wouldn’t agree with the other people’s opinion; to me the food is not so great. I have tunisian origins, and i have eaten many homemade tunisian and moroccan couscous, and i can tell you that this couscous is plain; it is ok, tasty and all, but really ordinary. And for this price, i really think it’s too much for what you have in your plate.
However, service is ok, quite nice, and the place is nicely decorated (a little too much to my opinion, i mean when you come here you come to eat a couscous, not to watch the carpets and pillows.)
It’s a very personal opinion, but i think it is documented :)

Good and elegant moroccan restaurant in Berlin Mitte.
Probably the best couscous in Berlin. Prices are not that low though.

Mmh quel délicieux tajine. Mes mains sentent encore la fleur d’oranger, ma tête est encore embrumée par le vin de Meknès. Et surtout, mon porte-​monnaie se sent léger, mais alors léger ! Lui aussi s’est fait embrumer !
Beaucoup de traditions, peu de raffinement, des erreurs notoires comme une semoule de couscous nageant dans son jus, à la Kasbah on confond un peu la coquetterie avec la classe. Celle de réellement exprimer une terre, une cuisine et une ambiance, en évitant l’exotisme vulgaire. Servez des couscous, pas la soupe !
La cuisine est tout de même très bonne, certaines idées audacieuses (les cerneaux de noix dans les dattes, leckerissimo), dommage que l’on paye pour tout le cinéma. Mitte lifestyle

Après une longue journée de visite à Berlin, ce restaurant marocain s’est avéré etre un véritable havre de paix. Installés dans un ravissant petit patio, les mains rafraichit à la fleur d’oranger comme le veut la tradition de ce lieu, de délicieuses tajines et un chaleureux accueil, la soirée fut esquise. Mais ou sommes nous? A Marrakech? On croirait presque, mais non nous sommes toujours à Berlin.

The Kasbah is a lovely Moroccan restaurant in the former East Berlin. The restaurant is located down a fairly unassuming street but when you walked through its doors you are transported into North Africa. Well, you may not appreciate being in another continent while you are in Berlin, but trust me, it’s well worth. The experience commences with the washing of hands when waiters bring a ewer with rose water and guests take it turn to wash their fingers. The food is just scrumptious, rich tagines, bursting with flavours, you just want to have more and more. Service is efficient and friendly so all in all a very good eating experience.

Eine Entdeckung bei unserem letzten Besuch in Berlin. Das Kasbah zeichnet sich durch ein gelungenes Interieur (wer es mag), marokkanische Gastfreundschaft und sehr gut gewürztes Essen aus. Ein kleines Stück Marokko mitten in Berlin.
