This place is great if you want your change thrown at you at the end of your meal by an impatient gentleman who treated you like an inconvenience the moment you arrived.

Amazing Sunday brunch buffet with a wide variety of options from standard German breakfast fare(brötchen, hard boiled egg, cheese) to waffles to more Mediterranean inspired options. Tiramisu was a lovely dessert flair. Only downsides are that it’s pretty crowded and the 25 € minimum to use a credit card. But this seems to be the norm in Germany.

Berlin is one of my favourite European cities without a doubt. It has countless cool things to see, places to eat and trendy areas to hang out in. Some of the more up and coming areas are in the East side of Berlin and that is where you find this cool little restaurant/bar. We had been going for a saunter up Karl Marx Alley and at one point turned off it and after a few more turns ended up here. We had the breakfast platter to share. It was HUGE and really reasonably priced. There was an abundance of cold meats, cheeses, breads, eggs and fruit. To go along side that I had a great vanilla milk shake. Due to over indulgence on the alcohol front the night before, I was feeling a bit sensitive and this sorted me right out. The décor inside the place is nice and the location is great. Only slight moan was the service was quite slow, but there was lots of plus points that meant I could generally overlook this.

Sunday brunch was expensive, food was not impressive, and no drinks were included(making the meal ridiculously pricey compared to other, similar meal deals in the area). The staff started cleaning and tidying away the brunch like maniacs the second the clock struck three, with absolutely no consideration for eating guests(we’re talking shoving people’s feet and bags away with their brooms). Honourable mention goes to the tiramisu though, which was a little above average.

So the break down of the stars goes like this: 4 definite stars for the SUNDAYBRUNCH! 2.5 stars for the rest of the menu away from the brunch. + add in 0.5 stars for free WiFi = 3 stars excluding the sunday brunch. Regarding the brunch, it sits at the corner of a busy Kopernikusstr and Simon-Dach. A great place that is rather large and not jammed packed with tables to the brim. The outdoor terrace spills over with nice large wooden benches. The brunch overwhelms one of my favorites, Tempo. With the all you can make/eat waffles and some dude making you pseudo scrambled eggs/barely an omelette with ingredients and an amazing array of great dishes, you can’t go wrong. It has a slight personality difference than Café 100 Wasser, but man, did I enjoy the experience. It did have quite an array for vegetarians and non-veggies.(wiener schnitzel on the buffet!) As for dinner during and off sunday time…I was very underwhelmed. My nachos were a few chips thrown on a plate with overcooked cheese baked on top. I wish it covered some of the cheese and wished it were served hot. I guess they must have been tired. I think the burgers were mediocre according to a friend and my husband, but rather pricey compared to what you can get down the street at Burgeramt or Kreuzburger. So bottom line — go fo 4.50 cocktails and definitely for for the Sunday Brunch for 9 Euros. Expect a big crowd and lots of tourits. However, I would say I was rather impressed with the quality of the brunch at a touristy filled place.
