Blackbeards

Nette Burgerbude mit etwas höheren Preisen. Burger u.v.a. Bier ist lecker, Reservierung kann — zumindest am WE — nicht schaden.

Burgerläden gibt es ja mittlerweile wie Sand am Meer…
Einer davon ist das Blackbeards.
Das Essen war lecker, nicht umwerfend und wie ich finde auch zu teuer.
8 € nur der Burger ohne Beilage ist schon happig, vor allem weil er nicht satt macht — und ich bin nicht die Raupe Nimmersatt.
Am Ende haben wir zu viert 100 € da gelassen und sind nicht aus allen Nähten geplatzt oder waren betrunken.
Der Service könnte auch ein wenig zuvorkommender sein. Ab und zu wurde ein Getränk vergessen oder dauert recht lange. Öfter als gewöhnlich hat man den Bedienenden mit Freunden/​Bekannten quatschen sehen statt arbeiten.
Bei der starken und guten Konkurrenz — ob nun Burger im Speziellen oder Essen im Allgemeinen — kann das Blackbeard nicht mithalten.

Das Blackbeards ist das, was hier im Kiez noch gefehlt hat. Ein kleiner aber feiner Burger– und Americanfood Laden mit einem fairen Preis-​/​Leistungsverhältnis! Kommen wieder!!! :)

Was at this place like 2 weeks ago and is still thinking about those ribs! Literally the best ribs in my life. If you split sweet potato fries and special branded beer, you will eat a 5star meal. They don’t have so many tables, so could get crowded sometimes. But it’s worth it. Next time I would like to try the pulled pork sandwich.

Für Fleischliebhaber eine gute Empfehlung, Bacon Rolls sind ein Knaller, Getränkepreise ok, und ein wirklich netter und aufmerksamer Service. Kann man sehr gut mal hingehen.

Been there yesterday for burgers and found the interior very nice and hip. The staff is quite friendly and seated us quickly.
The selection is decent and offers all expected variety of a BBC shop.
I’ve got the house burger and my gf the veggie burger. The bun was extremely sloppy and the taste of the burger had been pretty low and boring. That being said the actual experience been rather low considering the prices charged.
Burgers came without fries and coleslaw which ended up being pretty expensive with 3 – 4 euros extra per serving. Even the price of a beer with 4,50 is even higher than you would expect in Mitte at top tier locations like entrecôte.
Actually great basis for a good shop but price and taste is far lower than what you can get in Berlin on average.

Ich bin hier zufällig vorbeigekommen und wurde vom BBQ-​Versprechen magisch angezogen. Die Karte ist von Zen-​mäßiger Schlichtheit, aber ich mag das: Nur das anbieten, was man auch wirklich kann. Ich wählte einen Burger mit Farmer Fries und Cole Slaw. Geschmeckt hat es ausgezeichnet, besonders die Fries und die Portion war von erbaulicher Größe.

Waren gestern das 1. Mal im Blackbeards und es war Inordnung. Zu unserer Enttäuschung war die «große Portion» Spare Ribs nicht so wie erwartet und geschmacklich hat diese auch nicht heraus geragt wie wir uns erhofft haben. Als Sides hatten wir die Sweet Potatos, Farmer Fries und den Coleslaw. Diese wiederum fanden wir sehr lecker. Getränke etwas überteuert meiner Meinung nach. Bedienung war nicht wirklich aufmerksam, kann aber daran gelegen haben das Halloween war und der Laden regelrecht von «kleinen Monstern» gestürmt wurde.

Really nice (but quite small), recently opened BBQ, burgers — type restaurant.
It’s been nicely decorated and when we went had a great atmosphere. The service was good and very friendly.
On first look at the menu, the prices were reasonable but then we realised that the prices (for what we wanted), was just for the burger (and as it happens a bit of shredded lettuce), and you had to order the fries separate and if you want coleslaw or apple chutney, that also.
There was a nice selection of fries but at € 3.50?!! The apple chutney wasn’t really a chutney either. My partner had a ‘pulled pork’ burger which he said was very nice and I had the ‘Blackbeards’ burger which was also nice. Both not really very big and very costly when you add up all the extras!
Shame really because it’s a nice restaurant run by a nice and friendly bunch of guys but way too pricey for Berlin (at this time of Berlin’s development) — there’s so many cheap restaurants about in the area and sadly, this isn’t one… but nice.
