We had about an hour to kill and wanted to have a seat and a drink somewhere. We found here and grabbed a seat in the sunshine out the front which was just lovely — it’s a kind of small street but very busy so it was amazing for people watching (some weird stuff happens on Berlin streets!). I had a Riesling and Graeme had beer, the waitress was very friendly and looked after us really well with table service and even brought us tap water with lemon and ice which we haven’t been offered anywhere else.
I only popped inside to use the loo — it’s decorated a bit like a living room and looked like a nice relaxing place to chill out. Prices were reasonable and it was a good place to stop off for a drink.

Warm and welcoming, great bar at night and the best lounge in Berlin during the afternoon. Good coffee and the music is always playing. Smoking allowed. Go for it to relax.

War da zweimal, nicht besonders empfehlenswert. Gäste und Personal sind OK, sehr nett, aber die Bar an sich ist nichts besonderes. Der Kaffee schmeckte nicht, abends hat ein DJ aufgelegt (arbeitet auch dort), wobei «auflegen» schon ein wenig hochgestochen ist, die meiste Zeit wurde planlos am Regler rumgespielt, der Musikmix war auch nicht berauschend. Würde da jetzt nicht unbedingt wieder hin gehen.

From the outside, Walther is one of those warm, inviting bars that just draws you in. The front bar are with barstools is a good place to sit and enjoy a drink while watching people inside and out.
Further back is more of a living room vibe, with mismatched chairs and sofas situated close together, where a group can hang out and knock back a beer or two.
All in all, it’s a cute bar. However, even so, it’s still a bit sterile, and kind of dirty in a non-charming way. If you want my suggestion, go here during a warm summer day with a friend and sit out front, or come alone with a good book or laptop (did I mention there’s free WiFi?) and just relax.

Die Musik ist absolut top! Nicht zu laut, genau richtig und sehr gut gemacht, es empfiehlt sich also hinzugehen, wenn live aufgelegt wird. Das Bier ist zu teuer, aber die etwas überzogenen Preise werden durch die tolle Einrichtung ausgeglichen. Und es gibt Spiele, yeah! Langeweile kann also gar nicht aufkommen :) Ein Besuch lohnt sich!

Kleine, wunderbare Bar im Wrangelkiez. Nichts mega ausgefallenes, aber für einen schönen Abend genau das Richtige!
Mittwochs gibt’s live Piano und Gesang. An allen anderen Tagen können sich mutige (und musikalische) ans Piano wagen und etwas in die Tasten hauen …
Musikalisch gibt es natürlich nicht nur das Piano, sondern auch vielseitige Musik aus den Boxen. Eigentlich immer passend zur Stimmung!
Das Barpersonal ist wirklich freundlich und es gibt viele interessante Gäste. Es gibt einiges zum Trinken! Nüsse und Salzstangen gibt’s am Tresen.
Heute Abend noch nichts vor? Vielleicht Zeit für ein Glas Wein im Walther?

witzladen mitte kreuzberg und mit/ohne.
sound ist, laut. auswahl drinks ist. leeeimmm,
zwischen w-gate und park gibts né menge guter läden bei denen es sich lohnt ein bier zu trinken oder neuen sounds zu lauschen aber das was hier geboten wird ist zwar laut und gut plaziert aber bei weitem nichts besonderes.

Amid the hordes of Berlin-style ruin pubs, Walther stands out. Service is friendly, and the space is warm and sunny, if a bit tight. There is an unfortunate laptop DJ on weekend nights, but he’s a forgivable annoyance. Oh, and order a Polnischer Sommer, whatever that might consist of.
