I am always astonished at how the little Starbucks tucked away in small corners of the world have so much better service and professionalism than the ones that are larger in space and volume of customers. Take, for instance, this Starbucks located in a shopping center in Baden-Baden. Even though minimal English was spoken, they understood the concept of a shaken drink(shake an iced drink in a tumbler, strain the old ice out, put new ice in) perfectly, even without my explicit instructions. Compared to the abysmal service in Starbucks München Hauptbahnhof, where the poorly trained staff barely know what a strainer is, this Baden-Baden Starbucks deserves high praise for effort, professionalism, and friendly, helpful customer service.
